I think micro's should be banned. Dlc is okay however.

I could name quite a few...
Wolfenstein tno: inferior to rtcw,
Doom2016: inferior to Doom3,
Fallout 4: inferior to Fallout 3,
F.E.A.R.2: inferior to original
ALL DEUS EX GAMES FOLLOWING THE ORIGINAL
Street fighter 4: not terrible but too hard
Mass effect andromeda: haven't played it but judging by the reviews...
+ I could mentioned numerous games that I've bought that were supposed to be "amazing" but weren't to my taste.
A vr version of existing half-life games wouldn't excite me much.
But hl3 would be interesting though.
Some might disagree but in I found the ai companions in mass effect 2 useful enough!
I set the game on easy, and pretty much just sent my squad out in front of me for like every combat mission. Then I'd just casually stand back and take out the survivors. I barely bothered to utilize my special abilities and barely used a single health potion for the whole game!
Yep, you have to be more careful with written words because it's much easier to be misinterpreted.
Speaking tends to be more casual.
I probably come across as rather hoity-toity and intellectual online!
I'm hearing alot of complaints about rpg mechanics and bullet sponge enemies, but I'm not necessarily convinced that that is a bad thing.
Frankly I'm glad that they've spiced things up a bit from the last two installments.
Still, I'll probably have to actually play it first to formulate a proper opinion.
CDPR continues to impress.
As a kid I felt uncomfortable around M rated games or adult stuff in general, the complete opposite of me now. The exception was Mortal Kombat for some reason. Unfortunately I owned Sub Zero on N64.
I played that on pc and arcade! Good times!
@thereal25: I would say System Shock was probably the most sophisticated shooter at the time though its interface is quite difficult to get into even for me. Japan only but there was also Geograph seal which also came out the same year which had platforming, and 3d enemy design (it looks similar to the original Starfox). Also Japan only but arguably the most forward thinking Fps was Star Cruiser which actually had a fleshed out story, 3d enemy design, and rpg elements.
On that note I think Dark Forces deserves a mention; very impressive for 1996!
And games like gtaV and witcher III - damn - ratings are there for a reason! If I had children I would have them playing the nintendo stuff - not violent games like gtaV!
I was guilty of this. Was playing Resident Evil Outbreak online quite a lot when I was much younger. As well as some other adult rated games.
I still liked 'Nintendo stuff' and still do to this day. But am quite into mature themes and settings also.
I was going to say your parents were guilty not you but then I guess these days it's harder for parents to police children's gaming because of digital downloads.
