Alan Wake, now there's a game world I'd love to be lost in (crazy, I know). It's so atmospheric and haunting. Loved it to bits. Plus the soundtrack, simply awesome.
I honestly don't get the staunch MS supporters; last generation I bought 3 360's, as two of them RRODd. I loved my 360 and was psyched about the xbone. However, come last years E3 and the news of the always on kinect, always online console, plus a myriad of other screw-ups and I felt compelled to beat a hasty retreat; no matter how far MS go to do a 180, they proved to me that they are NOT to be trusted. Just today in the UK Guardian it has been revealed that MI5 / 6 were going to harvest kinetic data for surveillance purposes. Come on guys, wake up!! 1984 was meant to be a warning, not a manual!!! Yet, and shockingly enough, there are those who vehemently defend all things MS.
In regard to Titanfall, I have a feeling it's going to be nothing more than CoD with mechs. News of CoD devs having been involved in this game's development will surely attest to this. I find the news of recently signed on indie devs for the Xbone, much more tantalising than another shooter.
In the meantime, I will ponder whether or not to buy a WiiU. I think old Shigs needs help and I'd hate to see Nintendo keel over, that would be a tragic occurrence for the games industry.
Capital video, Danny. I myself am teetering on the verge of buying a WiiU. I really want Nintendo to do well. I got a PS4 for Xmas (and it's awesome) but I need to satiate my appetite for something rather more old school.
