Heck Yeah? Stupid fun games ... bring it on!!!
Goat simulator may be nice but I got eyes on a roach or mouse simulator. Where you have to invade a house, avoid detection, and gather human food without leaving random turds all over the place! LOL
Goat Simulator??? Boy they must have been high when they came up with that. Still, I would play a goat simulator game, could be fun.
Playing games that make you laugh is a big part of the gaming experience. I spent hundreds of hrs on GTA IV just doing stuff to make me laugh. There is not enough of these games out there. Road Rash was awesome because it makes you laugh. (I heard they might be coming out with another one). There is simply not enough games out there that are just fun because they make u laugh.
The first time I played Octodad, I was like "WTF is this game!?!"
Next thing you know, I played it more than the triple-A games I have this week.
I find the way Respawn studios is handling the Titanfall beta, and actually Titanfall in general, is like the way Activision and Kotick handle Call of Duty.
I also remember when Zampella got "illegally fired" and started claiming Activision and Infinity Ward are tyrants. Zampella was framed as a good guy. It now seems to me that he is very arrogant. Titanfall is a brand new unproven IP that essentially rips a bunch of stuff off from COD.
People are genuinely
interested in taking Titanfall for a beta test. Respawn should be
different than Activision and let people see how good the game actually
is. If people had tried ghosts beforehand, it would have failed.
Moreover, I also find the similarities between Titanfall and COD continue into the exclusivity of Titanfall. I believe that the first Call of Duty was originally Xbox and PC exclusives as well.
Any rational developer of a new IP should want cross platform distribution. Respawn thinks so highly of themelves for being Infinity Ward alumni that they can be CoD killers through only the Xbox and PC. Call of Duty's explosion in popularity came with the cross platform distribution of CoD: Modern Warfare.
And although CoD, CoD 2, and CoD 3 were cross platform eventually, I specifically remember CoD 3 being the flagship launch title of the 360.
If Zampella doesn't check himself he is going to wreck himself.
Idn Goat Simulator does look Dumb.. funny but dumb. If it was like a free mod or like $5 on steam I could see a bunch of people playing it. But I TOTALLY AGREE with Danny that games whould be weird/different etc. cause games like Katamari and Tokyo Jungle are not something you would expect and that makes it SOO much more fun. Especially for nerds like me who play (too) many video games all year. Another stale FPS (Killzone) yawn!.. a game where you're a cat hunting and mating to survive? Sign me Up!!
So people just wanna run around as a goat? Is that seriously all that it takes to entertain people nowdays?
but .... we already have Goat simulators. they're called call of duty and BF's multiplayer. it's where people learn to act like the goat within them only in human form ....
yeah maybe this would be a welcoming addition to the group.
Hey Danny I have an idea for a game. It's called Cable Car Simulator. You start out as a normal operator on a standard route around SF. For mowing down pedestrians you get bonuses to make your car handle better or to add cable track to new locations.
Of course we'll need about $500,000 and a year or so of dev......Hey wait, where ya goin?
The key is, of course, for developers to take these insane ideas and make actually good games out of them.
What the fuck was that?! Lol!
Couldn't agree more with this one. I love a wacky, dumb, senseless game. My problem with them is that they're usually pretty shit. Destroy All Humans (the first one) was amazingly addictive. Good show there. Thanks Danny.
Danny, I am going to go out and buy a hat. Why? So I can tip it every time I watch your videos. Great stuff. Love it.
What i love about these videos is that every new video that danny uploads, you can feel his passion for what he is doing and that improves the quality of his work. KEEP IT UP.
The problem with a goat simulator is that noby boy would eat you and a dude and poop you out as a goat man. Then you'd have to stop doing goat things and get a job.
Love it. Great piece Danny. Some of the greatest games aren't the ones with the oscar winning storylines... or the hollywood movie graphics. If you make a delightfully absurd game that is truly an enjoyable gameplaying experience, people will buy it.
Nice piece that made me wonder what happened to Random Encounter? It was the 'palette cleansing' show...
At first I thought the title was "Goat STIMULATOR needs to happen." And I thought, "Sure. Why not?"
that clip of the man falling and hitting his head on RTE news is hilarious. only in Ireland would they broadcast it on the news at 6pm haha. its even better if you hear the audio!
I propose a Second Person Shooter. So you see the game from the perspective of the enemies and you control the protagonist where you shoot yourself.......wait what?
Sometimes games that are different can be amazing. It is always interesting to see a new idea that turns into something special. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy big AAA franchises immensely. Yet, recently indie games and other titles that didn't get as much hype have been on my radar in a big way.
@Flonne_N_Etna Katamari. there are a lot of different versions on different consoles.
@finalkain Why the hell not? ..or we could play FPS number 17465746, that would be much more fun
@JazzFromHell Octodad: Dadliest Catch
@WeWerePirates Then they could throw in aspects of all the other Simulator games: farming, train, fair ground, surgeon, and so on in order to find the ideal job for goat man.
@leikeylosh He would probably die by lauging too hard due to lack of Oxygen, it nearly killed him last time :P
"Owwww my stomach"
@Dharkanon Its on in 15 minutes as of this post
@wearelegion5000 take your racism to some other place
@chaosbrigade Why not also make the controls perspective sensitive while your at it - if you see your protagonist head on his left is evidently your right, side-on and the forward is left (or right), etc... oh, I want to play this in dismay and frustration at my brain's inability to comprehend when it is controlling what!
@chaosbrigade That's actually a great idea for an indy game.
@Kinguard73 Yeah, it is as if Danny's talent follows him... wherever he goes! ;-)
But just as long as he didn't take the weather with him to San Fran they'll probably like him just fine over there - he'll fit in just nicely... like a glove!
@Ink129 @Kinguard73 Danny for me is easily the most entertaining game jounalist by far, especially infront of the camera he just has the knack for it.
