@JustPlainLucas @supermoc10 Sure but that shouldn't be the way it works. Instead of publishers marketing their games by saying stuff like "Gamespot: 9.5/10", they should be saying "Gamespot: Great for open-world lovers" (and to be fair, some pubs do that in their ads). All scores do is explicitly saying "This game got a 9. It's objectively better than that other game that got an 8.5" even though other people could find out that they'd prefer the 8.5 game by actually reading the review. Maybe scores wouldn't be a problem if most people actually read the review but we both know that scores discourage actually reading the review. I understand that people need a quick way to see whether or not a game is for them but I believe that things like the pros/cons at the bottom of GS reviews are good for that. Also, I personally rarely take the time to read the reviews but I always watch the video reviews because they're both informative and entertaining. Maybe a bigger focus on those could help.
I personally think that with the campaigns alone, this deserves at least an 8. Especially considering that Halo CE and Halo 3 are two of the best shooter campaigns ever made. Still, I respect the score you gave it and its justification. This just shows to me that reviews as they are right now are simply outdated. Putting a score on a game was already stupid in the first place but it's even more stupid now that games are ever-evolving due to updates, DLC, etc.
@havesumnuts Yeah, Madara's return was just bonkers. Especially just the part with the explosive kunai, that was nasty.
All those animes are on my watchlist but I haven't seen any of them though. Looking forward to it though if they have cool fight scenes. I heard Kill la Kill is from the makers of Gurrenn Lagann so I have high hopes for it.
@havesumnuts Dude Shippuden is one of the animes with the best animation quality. The studio handling it is one of the bests, along with MadHouse (Hunter X Hunter 2011). Did you watch episode 375?
