So they sell a rechargable controller without the means to recharge it? Exactly who at Sony thought that was a good idea?

Why the hell sony didn't include a sync button to their console?!!! seriously! my guitar hero/rock band receivers for the ps3 are wearing out, with them my instruments are worthless...... and the broken ones are never online to replace >.<

more importantly, sometimes a cable is not available, or was forgotten at home when I go to my friend's house... happened once, he didn't have another cable in his home so we were stock with using only 2 of my controllers!!!!!!

i still don't like the placement of the sticks - that is one thing Xbox gets right

While I do think it's crappy they don't include the charge cable, they didn't include it when you bought an extra DS3 either. You do get one with the system, so you'll have the "official" Sony cable anyway. Really don't see why they can't give you a 12 cent cable though.

Why are they selling the controllers before the system is released?

1. Excellent choice on the Sierra Nevada Pale... 2. Who nowadays doesnt have a 12 spare USB cables? Thats hardly an issue.

What the hell man, they couldn't include a USB cable? Dualshock 3 had a USB cable, so we have a feature regression here. It took years for companies to start including HDMI cables, now they're skimping on the USB cables, the cheapest effin thing. You can bet if people start having defective batteries or over-voltage Sony's defense is that they didn't use an officially supported cable.

usb mini was in every sony camera/phone. so now that means every camera and phone will move to this usb cable? what's the difference? are transfer rates higher? for the nerds to showoff, what's the difference with the usb mini and the micro besides the shape?

The larger size of the controller is something I am definitely looking forward to on the PS4. Hopefully Sony has learned from the last 3 generations and made the small tweaks where necessary, to craft a great new controller.

The DS4 is so choice--like best parts of the DS3/360 pads. It works on PC with micro usb and bluetooth(hold share + ps button till it pairs)

The best thing about the video was the beer. SIERRA Nevada Pale Ale is one of my faves. Great taste in beer, Pete.

they aren't that available yet, the Gamestop near me said we had to wait 'till the 10 of November, that's when they start selling accessories like game pads and headphones, don't know if the cam will be available on that date or the 15, also some games will be available on that date also.

@whatthegeek The people who have owned smartphones for the past 5 years and are like "I have too many f'ing micro USB cables!"

Also, newsflash, the PS3 controllers didn't come with the cable.

@WhiteTulip1 I prefer the PS controller, but if I wanted, I could buy a xbox style controller online for as low as $30.

@jwrebholz You can use them on your PC or PS3.  Other than that, who knows.

@StHapns247 the ps3 came with a USB cable but when you bought a separate ps3 controller it didn't come with a USB cable this is the same with the ps4 the actual ps4 comes with a cable included

@StHapns247 My dog used one of my DS3's as a chew toy about a month ago, and the replacement I bought didn't come with a cable. Maybe they did in the beginning? They don't now, at any rate.

@shadowhunter0 All their stuff costs less than shipping. I buy all my cables and whatnot from them. Cost is insanely low, build quality is impressive.

@inso-maniac Either way, I am glad they aren't being super cheap and having a built in rechargeable battery, instead of a place to stick your double A's. This won't bother me so much as I will be doing what I did this last go around: Buy a nice controller docking station, and stick the extra cables in a box.

@inso-maniac

ps3 controller was better than the ps2 controller. damn, the resistance on those sticks were ridiculous.

@tom2750 Are my eyes playing with me. Does anyone see a period in all of this?

@jblp Does a period mean something different in America? As an Englishman, I would be very surprised indeed to see lady blood in his comment...

@jblp

I see a period. It's a period of darkness that has descended upon us, a period when proper grammar no longer exists!

jblp
jblp

@DKRises @jblp @tom2750 Standard rules of grammar are not required when posting comments on social areas of websites. Sometimes different punctuation can be used to convey the inflection of the statement. Emoticons are not included in proper grammar, but can also be used and are perfectly fine when appropriate. On the other hand, absolutely no punctuation is not OK as it makes comments difficult to read and comprehend. Now to the first reply, there is no question mark at the end of the first sentence because it’s not really a question. I already knew the only punctuation in the entire post was a comma, humorously entered after the very first word. I hope this helps.

@TheSkyrimStatue @jblp Period has multiple definitions in America. You've picked the most unlikely term using the context. How about full stop?
