Rockstar has quite possibly the greatest marketing team of all studios.

Other developers release 20-minute gameplay trailers and people will appreciate them and move on. Rockstar announces that they will release a single screenshot or short trailer and it makes huge news across all sites.

They feed people just enough information to get them interested, yet not enough to satisfy their curiosity which leaves them coming back for more.

@Sevenizz @stealth6spy I would not necessarily say that the multiplayer being standard is grounds for calling it mediocre. This really comes down to the tone, but to me it seems as though he is saying the multiplayer is simply what you would expect and does not have any standout points, rather than it being disappointing.

Honestly, I feel that numerical scores hurt the review process. Many games can not just be given a number because there are pros and cons of it, subjective pros and cons at that. It would be better for both consumers and reviewers if they could just give their opinion and not let that opinion be dictated by a number. Doing so only leads to debates among commentors such as this one over an abstract number.

Oh Bethesda, why did you have to go and open that pretty little mouth of yours?

@Sevenizz @stealth6spy That still does not seem like a 5. He did not say the online was mediocre by any means. He mentioned that you cannot play people with lower than 2 bars, but that is hardly a fault with the game and just means the player has a bad Internet connection. He also never said that it is in general a weaker game than others in the genre (unless I missed something) but instead just said it has a different style, which should be encouraged in an industry dominated by repetition. I do agree that a bad story is something to count off for and the fact that it is a 7 illustrates this.

@Sevenizz I would disagree. Although he did mention a number of drawbacks, the review did seem to say that it is still a good fighting game, hence the score. The things he mentioned as cons for the game are lack of tutorials and replayability, which while it is disappointing that it they are not present, does not mean the game itself is flawed. I believe 7 is a good score given the information he presented.

I think anyone who played the game could have told you that. Still appreciate the fact that they brought it to PC at all.
