@tomorrow_gamer: Disgaea Has some serious dungeon crawling action. It doesn't have the dark art style that bloodborne has. It's a Japanese tactical RPG, so colorful Anime sprites on a grid. Basically you can go inside your weapon and it becomes a dungeon crawl where the deeper you go, the harder the monsters become and the stronger your weapon becomes. Very cool concept, and it pokes fun at the genre in general with outlandish heroes and villans. Fun play, and basically infinite dungeons.

@d_parker: Yup, definitely Red Faction. Only game that allowed "tunneling" anywhere by just blowing holes in the ground. Could also be Mercenaries as far as environment destruction.

@themanofpears: It has to do with the sensitivity on the bottom eject disc button. Dust, or moving the PS4 can wear away the minimal buffer present so it'll depress on its own very easily. I removed the button and haven't had an issue with it ever since. They've removed these super sensitive buttons on the new PS4s but all the older ones still have it along with older specialty bundles as well.

I also got a chance to try it at best buy and completely agree with everything you said. I only did the underwater experience. The headset was comfrortable, and the directional sound from the headphones really helped boost the immersion as it directed my view based on where I heard the noise.

They do need a better way to secure the headphones as I also has once instance where it slipped as I was looking completely up. The tracking was lagless in my set-up. I even tried moving my head quickly to see if the experience would stutter or slow down and it didn't. I was skeptical of the tech but after experiencing it I'm excited to see what developer do with it. Also, I didn't get the chance to use any of the wands, only a standard PS4 remote control.

@phoebeddc: I'm a little late to the party here but I use what you're currently looking for. It's called Nyrius Aries Prime wireless HDMI adapter. This is a link to the product on amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Nyrius-Transmitter-Streaming-Projector-NPCS549/dp/B009E6R89C

It connects to the HDMI port on the TV via an HDMI dongle(small receiver) and the console via a HDMI stick. They both require a power source (USB or wall.) I've been using mine for almost 2 years now without incident. I have a projector wirelessly connected to a SONY receiver and the PS4, PS3, are physically connected to the receiver. This amounts to a sleek wireless set-up with a roughly 200 inch HD display. I play a lot of twitch based games and lag is not an issue with the wireless HDMI or the projector, for that matter. Hope this helps.

It's been a long time since I've posted but this title was calling me: Last of Us or Beyond Two Souls. Both incredible games, visually, story, and gameplay.

The PS3 is NOT region coded!! I don't know where everyone is getting their information from.

My copy of PLANET EARTH purchased from the UK is clearly labeled as region 2 (this is Europe's regional code). My PS3 purchased at a BEST BUY in Los Angelesclearly has no problems playing the discs. Please people, stop spreading misinformation.

This may not apply to DVDs, but who watches those anymore anyway. Seriously though, Blu-Rays are not affected.

I'm 99% sure that's what's giving you trouble. If you've got access to someone with another PS3 and you're getting the same problem then you'll know for sure. Otherwise I'd recommend getting a refund ASAP.BZSIN

NOOOOOO!!! It is such a good documentary, I have been psyched to see it for days, is there no way that I can solve it?? That means I have to look at all the other documentaries I got, I bought like 10 other Blu-Ray discs from amazon, I'll have to look at all of them now. But I tried Wild China, it worked fine.

i have been enjoying my REGION FREE hd dvd version of planet earth for the past 3-4 years ;) why oh why did sony have to win for a change?

Stop being ignorant. The PS3 is also region free, that's not the problem. Quit hawking your praise for an obselete system in an attempt to relieve your own bitterness over a bad buy.. Nice job spending $400 on a paperweight btw, and enjoy your copy of Planet Earth as your HD DVD player will never enjoy the release of LIFE, the sequel to Planet Earth or anyting lese new for that matter. I own the Planet Earth blu-ray, and Life blu-ray, as well as several BBC specials purchased directly from amazon UK and I have no problems on my PS3. My planet earth is not a SPECIAL EDITION as far as I can tell but I don't see why they'd sell one at 50Hz and the original release at 60Hz..

I had a launch60GB fat and this happened to me a few months ago. It turned out to be the laser. I found one for around $45 bucks online, installed it, and voila! My 60GB was back! It's a really easy install, just a little tedious taking everything apart to getinside the blu-ray drive. I wanted to keep all my saves, data, etc so I didn't want to send the thing off. Anyway. . .

My PS3 symptoms were as follows prior to being fixed:

-DVDs and CDs worked fine, every time(indicating it's most likely not a gear loading problem, though it still can be)

-I would insert a Blu-ray disc and it would not be present in the XMB.

-popping in a blu-ray disc in and out would sometimes allowthe XMB to readit, but I could only play the game for about a minute before freezing

-After rebooting the PS3 the XMB would indicate no disc presentin the XMB even though there clearly was.

The laser replacement you have to buy is different depending on your model PS3. Make sure you're buying the right one! GL

any help please

Deaho
Ise an external hard drive regularly. If you're configured to FAT32, you shouldn't be having any problems. Weird.
