Insulting your fan base is probably not the best idea.

Has he seen the Nielson ratings? Most TV shows are seen by relatively few people - clearly not mass market, using his methodology. Most cable networks are watched by comparatively small numbers, as well - maybe they are even "too small to be relevant" as well? The huge numbers go to sporting events like the Super Bowl, which are few and far between. His thinking seems overly biased for the TV industry.

How the hell does she know what "real life" is? She's a United States Senator.

@kljhkll He was a troubled, 20-year old man with Asperberger's Syndrome. His mother made the fatal mistake of supplying him with access to guns. The rest is history. The point is this was an outlier. This sort of horrible tragedy doesn't happen every day. If video games were the culprit you'd have massacres every hour. Yet there are politicians - the Scourge of the Known Universe - who exploit these tragedies for their own personal gain and the at the expense of our freedoms.

She's a your typical control freak Senator who has nothing to worry about because she's never going to be voted out of office, no matter if she threatens the 1st Amendment or not. She isn't going anywhere. The only thing that will get her attention is if some of her donors push back. You'd have to think that some people in the video game industry have been supporting her over the years (a lot of the industry is located in California). Maybe it's time for them to reconsider their support for Feinstein.

Back in the old days (1990s), id could do no wrong. They were on the cutting edge of game tech and design. But they soon lost their way. First, Quake 3, which was OK but not nearly as good as Unreal Tournament. Doom 3 was a serious letdown for me. Rage? I still can't get the damn game to run on my PC. I wish id would make a manic shooter again like Doom 1/2 & Quake. Give me dozens, hell - hundreds of enemies on the screen at once. Give me Serious Sam-type insanity - not another cookie cutter corridor shooter.

Great, women are the "new core". Wonderful. Brilliant. But what the hell has this guy actually done to back up his words? His writing credits include Halo Reach and Destroy All Humans, two games that are not exactly full of memorable female characters. Stop telling the industry what it needs to do when you won't even do it yourself.
