Good for 343 and Microsoft. I couldn't sit and play through that game for the life of me and I played through Halo 1-3 and Reach for hours on end, but 5 was just not that good I really don't know what to attribute it to.
NBA Live 06 for $60 when I bought my launch 360, which I traded in for $20 and paid an additional $40 for NBA 2K6 however it was worlds better than that piece of crap, but nonetheless I ended up spending $100 over picking the wrong basketball game. The other games that I bought that sucked were Superman Returns, Turning Point, NFL Tour, Captain America, and Duke Nukem. On the bright side at least I wasn't one of those poor gamers that purchased Tony Hawk Ride.
Maybe create a new account on your playstation and create a new psn. Keep your old account and psn and play all the games you have started on your old account and only play the new ones on your new account. Eventually you will just transition into your new account with the name you want.
Go with 720p and a playstation 3, reason being is that all HDTV channels look great in 720p and about 90% of playstation 3 games are displayed in native 720p. The difference between the 2 is virtually unnoticable unless you get a 50'' or bigger.
VCD and SVCD were not released in most parts of North America and if they were they were very discrete, so it makes sense for a North American PS3 not to play them.
