Kinda totally one of those dumb comparisons where you have a latest PC game on the latest PC gfx hardware compared to a game on 4-yr old gfx hardware...

Shattered Horizon Owns... Higher Rendered Resolution, higher texture resolution, far better soft-shadow algorithms, and its AA is almost perfect.

IGN simply stated that Facebook is better done on the Xbox360 then the PS3.

If people really didn't care about this they wouldn't bother posting in this thread.

Totally... This just seems like an awesome way for Sony, M$ and face book to burn some cash... Like, so what about Dig, Google, GAMESPOT and all the other stuff I use while I use face book...? Easily with a mouse and keyboard.

The Wii could have more high rated games than anything in history, if I love playing Uncharted, Mass Effect, Halo than it will never be the best to me. Man - U have summed it up exactly. Without doubt it was always one of the issues above...

I never have to deal with any of it on my ps3 (So far :(), but I do lose out cheaper games, more games (Not necessarily better though :D), and WAY better visuals.

I'm not a cow or troll - really i'm not - just make decisions on what gives me more time to relax and enjoy.

Maybe its because I spend too much time at a PC... Thats why I like to just sit at the TV and game on.

Can someone please cearly define what winning is and what the levels and stages of winning are...

Maybe you just suck as a pc gamer, because freeze ups/crashes/whatever, are not the norm if you have a properly running PC.

Maybe I do.. But I have a lot of experience playing PC games and I'm also a software architect for windows platform applications. I got a pretty good grasp of debugging and configuring computers.

But yea maybe I've just have bad luck or had too much other garbage on my PC when I should have just had a PC for games and a PC for work, etc... But if thats the case... I'll just have a console thanks.

Good question... And Note I did say "I think" so just take my concepts as an interpretation of the industry.

- Consoles have got the highest attachment rate by consumers ever.

- Consoles are a consistent development platform that after iteration 1 of your engine is made, you are pretty much set for a few years. (Unlike Direct X versions, GFX card enhancements, OS changes)

- Consoles are far more secure and hack-safe in comparison to PCs and PC games.

- Consoles are far better at reducing software piracy (A very big one for devs)

- Consoles have a controlled os and online presence that allows targeted marketing and direct sales

These are the top economic reasons for wanting gamers on Xbox or PS3

Not if you have a halfway decent computer which you take care of... I never get any freeze-ups, in any game.

Actually - I really am not in a place to comment. I havent played any PC games during the last 18 months so maybe things have improved... But they never did throughout the other 10yrs playing PC games.

this generation alone the pc has more high scoring exclusives than the three consoles combined. i don't even have to exaggerate like you did.

And I think, as sad as it is, you are seeing the beginnings of the death of PC support from game developers. And believe it or not M$ wants this to happen.
