BTW Mr Levine, the only story about box art that I would find remotely interesting would be if it was for System Shock 3.

'Box art'? What's a 'box'? I just look at game icons in the Steam store during the sales...

@Leboyo56 ... The 360 SS? If so, hopefully it won't be as pointless and poor quality as the new iteration of the PS3, though the current 360's dust-magnet shininess and ultra-sensitive touch buttons that activate if you just breathe on them could do with being scrapped.

@D3nnyCrane @Kaz32 ... I think they have scrapped it for this game. When that happened to me in Far Cry 2, I stopped playing. Luckily, I only paid pennies for the game in a Steam sale, and the interesting intro and first hour of gameplay was enough for me.

@BradBurns Jason Brody sounds legitimate to me. I would've preferred someone called Jonny Rockets myself ;)

@bloody-hell Here! Here! Ubisoft do publish some of the best games, but Uplay and associated DRM is pointless and punishing, though usually a while after release they reduce the requirement. Still... I also do not care for online services and community features provided by individual publishers... They should all face the truth - that's what Steam is for. And gaming websites like this one.

Hmmm. I got a free copy of this game with a new graphics card, so can't really moan, but I was hoping it would be more like the original Far Cry or even Crysis. A fairly linear shooter with a wide corridor of movement to allow for some creative gameplay but always giving the feeling that you are moving forward, and a story-led campaign that can be completed in under a dozen hours so it doesn't get boring..... I'm starting to get a bit cheesed off with all these seemingly endless open-world games 'stuffed with fun things to do', i.e. full of pointless acheivements, useless collectibles, repetitive missions and aimless aims and objectives. Okay, you get your money's worth, but they are starting to feel like WORK. A glorified TO-DO list, with demanding spreadsheet gameplay that can be a seriously addictive but ultimately tedious time-sink.... It's especially not what I really want of a shooter. I recently played the tightly scripted likes of Black Mesa and Killzone 3 and they were a refreshing joy to behold (though the latter's 4 hour campaign is a bit of a ripoff if you paid full price, though was fine for the fiver I paid for it)..... Sometimes trying too hard to 'open up' a franchise with 'choice', branching gameplay, selectable missions and RPG-lite elements can lead to dilution and disappointment. Witness the last Wolfenstein game. It was because of this I gave the last Far Cry game a miss. I've heard rumours that the next Half-Life game could be open-world. Please, no.... Though, having said all that, I could spend YEARS happily wandering around Skyrim, and I have put 31 enjoyable hours into the ridiculously addictive Assassins Creed Brotherhood the past few weeks, without even touching any cookie-cutter faction side-missions or pointless collectibles (who the hell cares about Borgia flags etc?)

I love The Witcher and CD Projekt are one of the best developers out there (praise be to them for GOG), but this is a terrible name for a game... calling it after a fiction genre... It's like calling a game 'Western 1877', 'Science Fiction 1997' or 'Romantic Comedy 2007'.

Eh? They said she was English but she's talking with an awful American accent. I hope she doesn't sound like that in the actual game. Very annoying voice.
