However as I stated before, I believe it has less to do with him being African American, and more to do with people associating hm to Islam. No it's not. The man was ELECTED president and the second things go south for him the race card comes out. "Omg the media and the right and the entire country attacks Obama because he's Black. Blah blah blah blah blah." If this country was so racist he wouldn't have won the election. The backlash is over his policies, end of discussion. It saddens me that this even comes up. No one is saying the majority of America is racist. I'm saying a very vocal minority is xenophobic.

The media didn't really start Bush bashing, especially after 9//11, until well after the invasion of Iraq. The media was one of Bush's best friends during the build up to the initial invasion.Yup. I remember the MURRIKA F YEAH atmosphere during the build up to our invasion on the networks. Democrats started getting nasty years into Bush's presidency when his policies were being felt. Obama has not been in office for a year yet. We have yet to REALLY feel the effects of his policies.
