[QUOTE="mfacek"]Yeah, because a third party is such a new and revolutionary idea right? Well, when youv'e had 2 parties, drrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrugggggghhhhhhh going nowhere, for what 50 years now, it's not revolutionary, it's way too late.I don't think you really got what I was trying to convey.[QUOTE="narlymech"] Yeah maybe succeeding isn't the BEST idea, but in loo of a third or fourth party emerging stronger, talk of it is motiviational. The 2 parties have needed a shakeup for decades. I know everyone is still excited celebrating the first black president, but I've always been ahead of the times.

People have been hyping/calling for third parties and third party candidates for centuries. In fact, Ross Perot, a third party candidate, could have won the 1992 election. Other notable third party candidates and parties include the Socialists, Theodore Roosevelt, Strom Thurmond and the States Rights Democrats, the Know-Nothings, etc. I just thought your whole, "but I've always been ahead of the times" comment was pretty funny. You're about two centuries late bud.
