Well, I just got thinking a while ago. Games are becoming more and more expensive and they are coming out very frequently. I personally think there are only few companies that should really be allowed to make games that are worth the money. For example, Valve. Unlike other companies (with the exception of L4D2), they aren't putting out a game EVERY single year, and when they do, its because they have multiple teams working on different projects for a long time. Left 4 Dead had lots of changes from when it was announced (it was originally going to be terrorists).
Activision can be somewhat of an example. They are putting real work into their games, like MW2 while other companies announce a game and then it comes out like 3 months later and the title ends out looking like a pile of poop I put in the toilet every day or it has the same repetitive formula (ex. Lego Rock Band, almost every anime game, and a ton of DS and Wii games)
Does anyone else think that things are starting to get annoying with paying like $50-70 for a game you probably won't play long? Don't start talking about rentals because I'm (and probably others) are people that don't really rent games, just watch videos of them and read reviews. And do you think there should be a like 7 month waiting period per game (5 month if franchise and 3 months if port)?
