I'm trying to figure that out myself. Fanboyism and idiocy at its finest, I guess.
Not to mention bringing up IGN constantly. I've said it before and I will say it again, IGN would give a steaming pile of horse manure a 10.0 without a second thought. They give way too many games 9.0 and 10.0 when they don't deserve them in my opinion.
You're right. I remember in that sea of hate on The Last Of Us review, someone mentioned that IGN gave it a 10.0. Man, IGN would look at a steaming pile of horse manure and give it a 10.0 immediately.
I trust GameSpot a hell of a lot more than I Give Nines/Tens anyday.
I won't even let my siblings anywhere near my M-rated games. It's a small list (over 10 of them), but heaven help me if I let them play them. No way. Not a chance.
And this is one of the many reasons why I laugh at those articles about gaming and how they destroy the mentality of children.
No, none of that crap would happen if parents would actually pay attention to what their children do in their bedrooms and what not. I mean, I've seen people play Resident Evil and I played the hell out of Mortal Kombat 2 along with Killer Instinct as a kid and I never had any of these 'emotions' that this 'study' is letting us in on.
