I used to love the game and the show when I was a kid. Can't wait to play it! LOL I tried to get my kids to watch this show and they where like "I can't believe you used to watch this" LOL
Cannot wait for this one! Brings back so many memories! The game companies need to bring back more games like this--mindless fun without shooting and killing and swearing, etc. It's great every now and again to play an adult-themed game, don't get me wrong, but not every game has to be a real life re-enactment. Just my two cents--apropos talking about a Scrooge game haha!
not really my type of game but heck if I buy it will u bring a tail spin game around? Totally my fav disney show back in the day!
Well if nothing else, this is a good way for CAPCOM to start getting back in the good graces of gamers by giving them this game. I have to admit, I am extremely excited for this game!
In case anyone didnt know, there is an indie game Kickstarter going for a game called 'Shovel Knight'. Its like an oldschool mix of Ducktales and mega Man... looks fun. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/yachtclubgames/shovel-knight
Strider reboot comming and RoadRash multiplayer comming to kickstarter, retro revival, when we used to have fun and not worry about which of the 7 buttons to press.
Not a huge Family guy watcher, but this gets me everytime.
I really do wish they'd kept the backgrounds in the same 2D HD artstyle as the new character art, which look stunnings by the way, as I just think that would have looked better overall.
Obviously when I say 2D for the backgrounds I still mean having lots of layers of parallax so you get a sense of the depth when scrolling etc but just that I think really well done 2D HD art would have looked better than the slightly simple looking 3D backgrounds and it would have went better with the 2D characters too.
Even simple stuff, like they wouldn't have have to have basic circle shadows, which I never like, if they'd just kept it all in 2D anyway.
Anyhoo, the game still looks really good but I think they missed the opportunity to make it something very special indeed ever so slightly here.
I loved the original game on the NES, I'm terribly glad to see it getting a remake. Though, there's plenty of other NES - titles I'd like to get HD-makeovers of, like e.g. Mario 2 and 3, the first four Megaman - games and Battletoads. It's unlikely that any of the Mario - games will ever get such, though, as Nintendo execs are fiercely protective of their IP and are literally afraid of making cash.
A couple of years ago, I made a project on "Why would a Duck Tales remake be a profitable game" at school, even made a little playable demo with updated graphics (it kinda sucked because I couldn't get the pogo thing to work) but almost everyone would just raise an eyebrow at me. Wish I could show them this now...
In French, this song is almost even better. You can't help but sing it.
@stonefang It sucks getting old and having kids. It's just like when you were a kid and wondered how your parents could stand what they watched.. Then again How could anyone hate 90's cartoons? They have a great style and the stories were all so much better than the asinine drivel of today.
@stonefang Kids cartoons and shows these days are terrible.
Ah, I played Darkwing Duck on emulator but NEVER played Duck Tales.
I'm looking forward to this.
@coop36 We will be highlighting this game in an upcoming Indie Games piece this week. Come back and check for it soon!
The Internet is our friend, pulled from Neo-Gaf
@Goemons strider is coming? where did you hear that/?i love that game
@Goemons Road Rash? Seriously? Thats awesome! Did you see that Carmageddon one?
@amaneuvering Plus his coat is blue now instead of red like on NES lol. I know its sposed to be blue but still..
@amaneuvering I have mixed thoughts about this point of 2d backgrounds. On one hand I kinda wish they had too. On the other this looks pretty damn sweet and I never played the original. Quite honestly it makes me wish they'd remaster all their CPS1 and SNES games this way.
@WereCatf Much as that could be interesting why would they remake those games yet a second time. I sort of see the new SMB on Wii U as doing that without simply reiterating the same game. Now Super Mario World or Yoshi's Island might be better choices since those were not remade prior.
@JoInfo one was an announcement while this one is an interview, there's a difference. -.-'
@fredyellowone Im from quebec and you, sir, just made me review the first 7 years of my life.
@wornstar Thats great! have you guys played the beta for the kickstart game "Timber and Stone" yet? Id love to see an episode for that at some point.
