my monitor supports 1680x1050. i dont need a card like that. the 680 also performs way better for a price to performance ratio imo. not saying those cards are bad, they are the industry benchmark, but if you aren't playing over 1080p there is zero reason to buy one.
@grognard @jazilla i also said the part about when they are discounted. Steam sales have always been better than MS sales as far as downloads go. Sure, I could buy games 6 months later on for cheaper, but when I don't like the features they have touted so far, why would I buy that system. All I am going on is what they have said so far. It could change, but nothing they have shown has made me be all, "WOW! I have to get that system!"
i don't watch tv. i don't want the Kinect camera always on. i usually buy used games or games later when they are discounted. what does all this mean? this will be the first generation that i won't own an xbox. they just aren't making this thing for me. i don't like their business model. if sony can come up with something that fits my playstyle i will be all over it. if not, i will happily stick with Steam and buy an Occulus Rift.
it's cool for movies though because those people are more famous and movies are more accepted so no one wants to do one sided journalism pieces about that industry.
Translation: the gaming division is bringing my bottom line down. Separate them so I can be fully invested in the entertainment division and not have to worry about losing my backside if the ps4 does poorly.
@penpusher I think the term "classic" should be reserved for those games that are universally praised. When my friends and I talk about classic games, Ecco doesn't even come up in the discussion. Games like Perfect Dark 64 and Zelda and Tomb Raider and Resident Evil and Super Mario Bros. come up in convos though. Those are classics.
