They should have shipped Torchlight 2 a couple months before D3 hits to capitallize on the impatient players waiting for Diablo. Other than that I never played the first torchlight, but I have been waiting for D3 for some time. D3 it is =)
I have to respectfully disagree. I didn't play the Baldurs Gate games until about 2007, and I found the first incredibly difficult. The archaic quest log, along with D&D spell limits and perma deaths for my party mean you have to rest every ten minutes, and that often involves backtracking to a safe place. I only got a few hours in before I just gave up through frustration. It's a shame because I wanted to play through it before BG2 to understand the story and world, but I ended up skipping it entirely. BG2 is much better, but it still suffers from some of BG1's issues.[QUOTE="dommeus"][QUOTE="robertlie"]
Baldurs Gate 1 is really the place to start. Gives you a nice and comfy introduction to the infinity engine type of games.

I can understand that. I got into the habit of making everytime before I go into a new area or even building. That way if I am too weak for an area I just reload the save. With BG1 it was hard until about level 3. Then when you got +1 weapons and armor it started to get easy (until the final areas). Some people don't like the trial and error gameplay though. There's no way to know what you face in a new area, so there is a lot trying and retrying. After playing it enough I memorized most of the major things in each area, so I could just go off memory whether my party was ready or not. Too tedious for most players though.
I think the most frustrating thing for new players is that at level 1 you only have several hp, so if you get hit once you are dead, which honestly feels like luck if you make it out of a battle alive.
Here you go Felipe, if you're in the mood for reading :P.Hey, how about that landslide of Mists of Pandaria information...DanielDust
What is this I don't even...THIS. This covers a lot of the gripes I have had with the game lately. Especially if it gets people out of stormwind and into the world! This sounds fantastic.
And how is this new?Silicel1

I don't think that unlocking all of the guns would give you any significant advantage. In fact, when I unlock a gun I usually play with it until I unlock another gun, in which case I decide if I EVER want to use the previous gun again. When you unlock everything all at once I can't see you switching between all the different guns and still being good, instead of getting used to them one at a time. I can't see too many people actually spending FORTY dollars on this...
ITT: "I knew about pandas before MoP" hipsters. It's an unavoidable thread de-rail whenever the pandas come up.
Well, considering I'm 27 and have been playing since I was five or so... It's BS that you need to preorder. Maybe for some people that don't have stores nearby, but not normally.[QUOTE="guynamedbilly"][QUOTE="GummiRaccoon"]

I think you just don't buy games day 1 then. Or you are full of sh!t
I have bought many games day one, and I think that they are less likely to sell out being a new game than a game that is 5+ years old. It might also have to do with where you live. Higher populated cities would have less local retailers and more consumers, but overall the idea of selling out of software baffles me, I have never heard of that. The only thing I ever see selling out is hardware (think of every major console launch)
