[QUOTE="KC_Hokie"]I refuse to buy anything Apple in the first place. Overpriced, overrated products. NaveedLife
This. The day apple runs the gaming industry, is the day we all lose.
the day all we can look foward is Angry birds 2 is when gaming dies. But it wont really happen.Games with richer bigger, better graphics are in demand, and they are growing in size. Portable systems have their place, iphone has their place.Games that are worth more than 1 dollar wont dissapear. Moreover, big budget games that require big loads of investment and cost 60 dollars wont dissapear.Because there is a market for them.If they were 1 dollar and hoped for mass sales there would be a huge problem, because their market isnt as vast. The casual farmville player is willing to pay 1 dollar for zinga, but not for BC.Its not an end-all-be-all-model.If big budget games followed the trend-they would go bankrupt rather quickly. And they know it. The marketting and distribution are things other companies could learn with, but Apple as a threat is different. What is giving apple their boost is the iphone-ipad.Not their gaming. Is easy to sell lots of games when you sell them under 1 dollar- it might appear is where people rather gets their games. But the truth is that they get them because they are cheap-and the payment is easy.Once the model is taken to a more appealing brand-its game.
