I just recently installed HUE Lighting in my house. I really like it. About this time I started playing Killzone: Shadowfall.

I guess it looks kind of cool, however, I felt like the colour bar on the controller reflecting your health (green for full, yellow for half, and red for near death) felt kind of pointless.

You really shouldn't be looking at your pad if you're low on health. Then I thought wouldn't it be cool if the HUE lighting in your room reflected your health?

I think it would add a bit of intensity if you were in a gun battle and your entire room plunged into a deep red indicating you're about to die and then of course when your health restores the lights could go from yellow then to green.

It would also be outright useful as you wouldn't have to look away to know what your health is or have the screen go an annoying red, splattered or black and white as a lot of games do.

I'm planning to play Wario World for the GC on my Wii. I don't fancy playing it on the "rumbleless" Classic Controller Pro, so I'm gonna pick up a GC controller. Is the WaveBird a good pad? I've heard it works on infra red and is a bit unresponsive. I'm not even sure if it'll work on the Wii. I obviously have a Wii with GC ports.

I understand there's no continuity (apart from the applicable sequels and spin-offs). I was just a little concerned that features implemented in XII might be missed in previous entries if I play XII first. Went ahead and started Final Fantasy XII. I'm about ten hours in and it's already entered my top five PlayStation 2 games of all time. God bless budget gaming.

The orginal Zelda on the NES. I loved my NES and managed to miss this classic.

First Zelda game I played was Wind Waker and that easily breaks into my top five games of all time. I remember a journalist in EDGE magazine saying "If this (Wind Waker) is your first foray into Zelda, it'll probably be your favourite game of all time by the end." Think that applies to any current gen first time Zelda players.

I don't believe it's considered a classic. It has has a large cult following, which seems all something needs these days to get an HD makeover.

I don't think a game should be endowed with classic status just because it gets an HD remake.

I just bought Final Fantasy X from Ebay. I already have XII and I'm really tempted to play it but I'm not sure if it's a good idea considering I've never played any of them before. I know there's no continuity between the games but I would appreciate some advice.

So it seems it's a matter of won't rather than can't. Makes sence.

Why exactly can't the Xbox One not play '360 games? I know they have different architecture, but wasn't it the same case with the Xbox and '360? I remember reading that the '360 used an Emulator to play original Xbox titles. Why can't the Xbox One do the same?

Loading times have got to go. Or at least be reduced to insignificant pauses. Clocked up about one hundred and fifty hours on Skyrim. Wouldn't like to think how much of that time was spent spinning around those 3D models in the loading screens.

I think this is going to be the toughest generation yet for consoles from all the increased competion from alternative forms of gaming. I really hope the industry doesn't wound itself by extorting us like it seems to want to do by making all games one use only, therefor killing the second hand market. Do think the console market will eventually dissolve because people in the near future will just by "TVs" to play games on, but I don't think that will be for a while yet. Ripping us off will speed up the process, though.

Sega going under. I sold my Dreamcast about a month before they announced that they were quitting the console market. I felt awful.

I still to this day find it a little odd seeing Sonic games on a Nintendo console.
