You got that right. I barely even recognise a video game these days. How many reviews of films did I read when GTAIV came out comparing how a video game blew a movie out of the water. They're hardly even games any more. No need to soak it up. It's gonna get a lot better.

Don't bother me. People swear. Why shouldn't they in video games?

Does it bother you if people curse in music or movies? If not, I think it might be another one of those factors that might distinguish whether video games are a serious medium or not. I think they are. I only think it's a matter of time before everyone else does then these sorts of thing might not bother you. If you don't believe they aren't of course.

I remember when Time Splitters came out for the Playstation 2 thinking it had an uncanny resemblance to FPS RareWare titles (particularly GoldenEye) and wondering what the the story was, brushing aside a coincidence. Especially considering that, as far as I knew, RareWare was still a Nintendo Third party company, and FRD was certainly not, who developed the latter title.

Back in the early stages of this decade I did not have access to the immense forum that video games have these days. It just occurred to me at work recently of all the crap I've discussed online down the years concerning video games I have never brought this up.

Not a life changing topic, but I do struggle to get a straight answer from the web. I get bits and pieces about coders leaving and forming new studios, but nothing satisfactory.

That is a tough one. When it comes to Star Wars games it's usually no contest, but the conditions of this topic make it quite tricky.

Shadows of the Empire was really cool (at least the first bit). Pod Racer, the second one is the best on the PS2.

And I do think Lego Star Wars is certainly worth a mention. What it lacks in gameplay and polygons, it makes up for it in ingenuity and charm.

Bleach and Naruto are good but they aren't movies!!!

_Margulis_

No they aren't, they're crap. If you cut out all the pointless dialogue, flashbacks, unjunny jokes, and just random standing around every episode would be about 6 minutes long. It's sad that people obsess over this crap while there's plenty of actually good anime out there being ignored.

Sounds like you're talking about Metal Gear Solid :P

Ninja Scroll is pretty good if you're looking for action.

Which Street Fighter movie did you see exactly, there are several.

Hungry_bunny

The one that's an extra on the Hyper Street Fight II: The Anniversary Edition. I don't really know much more about it than that.

Is it the one where Shun-Li fights Vega in her appartment? That would be one of my favorite action anime movies.

Yeah that's it. I did really like it, but I'm a bit of a stickler when it come to voice acting. Which in this case I thought was terrible. If I had the option (you can't even fast forward it on the PS2 game) I would of probably watched it in Japanese with English subtitles.

I have to add I've seen Spirited Away (as you might find my profile banner confusing otherwise), which I thought was totally awesome. I also have Princess Monoke, but haven't seen that yet.

I've never been into Anime. Over the last few months I've really wanted to check out a decent Anime film. I bought Street Fighter: The Animated Movie, which was okay (English voice acting was utterly ghastly), but I'm sure there's a lot better out there.

Went to my local DVD store to buy Ghost in the Shell (as it seems to be what to buy) or anything else that catches my eye, but not only was there a paltry selection, but most of them were confusing variations of Ghost in the Shell. Some help would be very much appreciated.

That's one of the funniest T-Shirts I've ever seen in my life. I really don't think it's possible to sum up Europe so accurately in so few words at the same time. If anyone finds that offensive their taking life way too seriously.

You bumped this terrible thread to post a pic which had been originally deleted by a Mod? Wow....thanks

Apologies. I accessed this through someone's profile, didn't notice it had been deleted. I didn't post it either, I just quoted someone who didn't get their quoted post deleted.
