@_huh Microsoft had no problem offering free online to pc gamers. Why the console? Why the ten dollar price hike? Just how much does it cost to keep the service going? Those who say it is superior have never gamed on anything else apparently.

@zfazal84 No, but for the people who want only one month because they don't use it often have to pay 9.99.

Saying sixty a year is not a lot of money is a lousy argument. In relative terms it is a lot of money. Out of context it's not a lot of money at all. Like, sixty dollars for a dodge viper is a deal of a lifetime, but sixty dollars for a pack of bubble gum is expensive. If you told your friend you paid sixty dollars for a pack of gum he would laugh at you and say you are foolish. He would think you aren't wise with money. He would think you like to buy things for the sake of buying things at a high price without any real justification for paying it. That's what live is people. It's not expensive if it was a real service worth having, but Sixty dollars to access a feature that is free and on every other console and pc is stupid. As I said, you pay for Internet, buy the game, and buy the console, sixty a year just to take in online is asinine. Take it for what you will. Does not mean I am poorl just means I'm not an idiot. 360 has been out for seven years now. Sixty times the seven years is $420.00. And that's with no games, no console etc.

@ImpliedBunny Sixty dollars a year is not much pending on what you're paying for. I'll gladly pay for my car, groceries etc, and I can afford to pay for live yearly if I wanted. I choose not to because it's a blatant rip off. If you're willing to pay them sixty a year, while your at it, since you like just throwing money out a window, send me sixty a year too. I don't need it but hey, it's free cash and you seem to be offering it to anybody who thinks you're dumb enough to pay it.

@ImpliedBunny you need an imagination if you really think calling people poor strengthens an argument.

@ace674 what are you talking about? People who once played Xbox as their main console are complaining too. You can read right? I was a Xbox gamer first.

I find it funny how many Xbox fanboys gave Sony hell for selling their console back in the day for 600. Don't get me wrong, that is expensive, and I didn't purchase one at that price point. But think about this, when Xbox was out you had to buy an online adapter for one hundred. Buy rechargeable controllers if you wanted to use batteries for the next five years or so. That and take sixty bucks times the five years its been out and you have 300 bucks! Justify it all you want, that is a rip off.

@Alucard_Prime The fact that Microsoft even raised the price to sixty dollars instead of fifty a couple years back and you are still defending it tells me you are not nearly as smart as you try to sound. You bought their game. Bought the console. Bought the Internet provider. Now you have to pay just to play it online? For what exactly?

@JohnVo423 Show me the balance sheet of how much it costs to keep live going and how much MS is using sub fees to pay for it and I'll never say anything bad about Xbox again. For how many people use live, sixty bucks a year is millions upon millions of dollars! They even raised the price from fifty to sixty a year! Wtf! How much higher can it go till you fanboys stop justifying it.

@ImpliedBunny So many joiners like you who have no reason shelling out money for things that were once free, yet, inexplicably, you do. Like bottled water. Just because you can afford it, does not mean you should have to pay for it. Is it not enough we buy their console, buy their game, buy Internet connections only to be told to pay more just to play it online? Wake up and realize you're being charged for a service that every other console or smart phone owner gets readily for free.
