@Dannystaples14 @iknowthepiecesf Multiplayer is a different story man, i would not conflict with you there. I meant single player.

@LukeWesty No im not oblivious. But i'm sure you are aware that gaming industry is bigger than hollywood now and they are making tons of money too. Triple A games cost like 100 million dollar, this is huge. Ok. But read this:

"Bioshock: Infinite posts best first-month sales in franchise history; Take-Two full-year revenue hits $1.222 billion; Max Payne 3 shipments reach 4 million."

@eyehategod420 @iknowthepiecesf Absolutely. It's amazing to see what a 6 year old console can do nowadays. But i think this is a matter of long time optimization in developer kits. Optimization is hard to achieve but when you reach the point it makes every game look and work superior. This is pleasing, sure.

@LukeWesty @iknowthepiecesf I disagree. PC is not like consoles, you can always lower down the visuals to make your system handle it. So the argument of "only people with high end gear could play" is not true. You can always play it in low, if you have a high end PC you can make it work at ultra.

@Dannystaples14 Allright, if i will play an RTS or cRPG, i wouldn't care about the gphx, i will look at the AI, quests, dynamics, storytelling or even the art style. But if i'm gonna play an FPS i will definitely care about the gphx. I think visuals are very important for FPS games, it stands at the core of them. Realistic and convincing gphx makes a FPS playable even if it has a boring story and unbalanced combat.

Sorry for my whining but the more i watch comparison videos, the more i get angry. So here it is.

The thing is, this is not the full potential of PC, not anywhere near it. A single GeForce Titan or Keplar can handle this game at ultra settings 2X times, with it's arse. Is it expensive? Yes. But it's the best money can buy.

They are designing the games for consoles and this is the result we see. I think the problem is PC users should have more options to enhance the games. I mean there should be ultra settings for PCs which consoles can't handle. But this is not what we see of course and it pisses me off. Consoles have slowed down the evolution of video game graphics, this is the truth. Next-Gen consoles will be an unleashing point for PCs, finally we, PC gamers, will be able to see the full potential of our systems. It's a shame we are bound to consoles for a long time now but there's little time left, so i think this will be my last whining :)

I respect Sid Meier. He's one of the pioneers of gaming history. But i disagree him.

Kickstarter is not a platform of promises. His name is not mentioned but Brian Fargo had a very impressive success there. He did not promise anything, he just wrote down the games he made earlier, he said that he gathered the old team up and they want to make new games in their old style. Planescape: Torment, Baldur's Gate and Fallout; i really wanted these games to have sequels but by the old and original team, not some Bethesda sh*t. And now we have Torment: Tides Of Numenera, Wasteland 2, Project Eternity on our hands and i think it's great just to know that the old team is gathered up and jamming. This was not about anything near "locking to promises" or smth else. This was about funding a game designer who made extraordinary games in the past and now is seeking help to get back to work again.
