@gralvader @Arab-Spring what makes you think those that mis-behave will look at this and take it on board? the thing is he has a point and so do you its just htat gamespot jumps the fence far too much and frankly I think given that it is a platform for feedback and unregulated comments you have to stand your ground. Either offer total freedom and accept the trolls or dont and dont complain about it? idk

@Arab-Spring I agree with you, gamespot like many other websites actually are quite hypocritical to the point it can be non-sensical at times but I think that just shows that GS has a lot of mismanagement. I mean they have a show like this that is meant to be all thought provoking and empathetic then they have a show like feedbackula that insults the very same people and is very condescending. Its almost like this split personality, Gamespot doesnt know what it wants to be and is trying to cater to everyone in between. So what ends up happening is that someone like yourself ( and me) can be a bit confused by all this and end up looking at more objective soruces of media. I think if you look elsewhere you will find that many other websites do what gamespot tries to do, in each individual way, far better.

The best thing to do is just watch trailers watch 3-4 reviews from different sources and very comprehensive ones like AngryJoe or a 30 minute lets play by Total biscuit and then make a decision based on that.

@mvfjet @houshidar its gamespot but then again what is wrong with discussing the gaming community with the gaming community? you never know it might make some people more self aware the next time they think about flaming and instead refrain? who knows?

@Sillversparks @Sorciere_basic I think you missed his point, if you actually did go back and look at one of greg kasavins views, he always touches on key aspects, gameplay, graphical fidelity, bugs, replay value, etc. He tried to keep it as objective as possible, but he would always add a little touch of subjectivity and say what he felt about the story and how/if he felt it was good or even if he was moved by it. Greg Kasavin is also one of the co-owners of giant bomb games I think and he was invovled in creating Bastion which was a stellar game for a super low budget and small team indie game. Whereas much of the harsh reviewers on the site today are too negative, and more critical rather than try and view it more objectively.

@jockmcrowdy what you say is true, the thing is Danny is far more intellectual and insightful than the rest of gamespot and what he brings to gamespot is of great value to gamers especially the younger ones. Feedbackula however is exactly what you said, just there to name, shame and frankly insult people and its hosted by a self-depricating fool that tries to talk from a place of authority rather than do what danny does and assess things with empathy and see what or rather why is it that people/the gs community act the way they do?

@FoxHoleUK85 are you as upset about whats happening in Syria at the moment? or other repressive countries? or that people are starving, exploitation of children in the third world? sex trafficking?

This is all trivial internet ridiculousness in comparison. People are protected by a layer of anonymity on the internet and therefore many show their true colours and their darker side on the internet. There is nothing you nor I can do and definitely nothing gamespot can do regardless of how "offended" this guy may seem. You are better off trying to make a change to real world problems where real people are being devastated, not just some critic that puts themselves out there and should know there will always be a segment of the internet that will dislike them.
