I started this in another thread off-topic. gmsnpr, you said 80-100 on Ebay, $40 is possible in the wild and that in your experience the XB copy was harder to get. How about the Dreamcast version? Would it be considered "better" to have than the XB or PS2 version (from a collecting perspective?) I'll likely never play the game, I just want one representative copy in the collection.

I don't know about collecting, but IMO the DC is the only one of the 3 that's arcade perfect. That's generally the concensus pick for arcade perfect, too. I own the DC version, andI've played all the other versions. One of them (ps2 or xbox) had a color/graphical problem and on one the timing's off from the arcade. My bff, who plays in tournaments, is of the same opinion. He really hated the one with the timing/control thing,

Started playing Mass Effect. Pretty good so far.

.....until my XB360 started scratching games with those huge ugly concentric circles. So far all it hit was KotOR and Oblivion but I nearly had a heart attack when I saw the bottom of my discs. Contacted MS customer support.

Glad I didn't put my Nightmare before Xmas dvd in there....

I have this stack of CRPGs I've been meaning to play. Divine Divinity, Icewind Dale 2, Wizardry 8. I never start those games unless I have time to finish them. I guess I do, now.

I'm tempted to get a doctorate rather than a masters' degree. This schedule's amazing.

It's a pseudo-remake of the old wizardry games by Atlus, right?. I'll have to keep an eye out for that one.

Which reminds me, Imight just *finally* play Wizardry 8. Finally have a vacation. Mass Effect is likely to consume it though.

Easy. Legend of Dragoon (ps1). She'll love it. Very similar to FF8. Much better battle system though.

Futurama'shorrible. I suffered through it. Trust me, it's for the best it's hard to find. It's really, really terrible.

Right now the hardest game to find is probably Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne or Digital Devil Saga 1. SMT:N is great but I honestly don't think DDS is worth it.

Thanks!

I'm not so fond of eternal ring. Played it a looooong time ago.

I guess I'll avoid VP2, then. I could see where people liked VP, but I just really hate it. I liked the story, but the gameplay seemed too linear and repetitivefor my taste.

Fatal Frame 3 is going to be a beast to find. I thought they'd release a director's cut for the xbox so I held off on buying it. No such luck.

Have you played Odin Sphere? I keep hearing mixed things about it.

Castlevania. Hooked since CV1 for the NES. Played every CV game including HC. I like the new 3d games, too. Currently playing the PSP one.

Silent Hill. Hooked since the first one. Amazing series. Ok, so 4 was terrible. I still have faith though. Origins is good so far.

Shadowhearts/Koudelka. Has replaced the FF series as my favorite. Still have to play SH3 though. I heard that's a train wreck

Fear Effect series. IMO, the best action game series ever made.

FF - self-explanatory. Even though I think the series has gone downhill since FFX, it's still pretty good. I will buy any canon FF or FFT game. Big fan of FFTA right now.

Blood Omen/Legacy of Kain series - I love the wacky storylines bizarre worlds, vampires, and interesting gameplay. Because of this franchise, I'll buy anything Silicon Knights has a piece of.

Onimusha - I just really like this series. The blend of a cinematic story and button mashing is just fun.

I own all the SMT games this gen sans P3, but I wouldn't say I'm passionate about it. SMT:N is great though.

I'm really fond of most of the DnD games, but I don't know if you'd call that a series so much as a ruleset.

I'm thinking Persona 3, Fatal Frame 3, Rule of Rose, Radiata Stories, X-files resist or Serve.

I'm not looking for every JRPG, only the major ones. I have all the other SMT games this gen. I don't really have the time to play through any more Nippon Ichi ones either.

I hated Valkyrie Profile. Is VP2 any different?

Just gota PSP. Any recommendations for RPG or horror? So far I have Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles and Silent Hill Origins.

Thanks guys. Hope the holidays were happy!

Dead Rising 29.99 J & R and Gamestop

Shin Megami Tensei - Devil Summoner 29.99 Gamestop

For the SMT fans, now's the time to buy. Encounter rate is still too high, but pretty good game.
