If you were a TRUE fan, you would buy FFXIIIvs even if you didn't have a PS3!

Here's an awesome idea...buy the necessary cables to hook your PC up to your TV, so you can watch movies and play games on a system you already have.

Maybe his computer isn't good enough to play new games.

[QUOTE="Sepewrath"][QUOTE="AlmightyDerek"]

Brawl online is very dependant on the connection speeds of everybody playing. If everyone has a fast stable connection the game is lag free. If one person has a slow or unstable connection the match is laggy. It actually has nothing to do with the Nintendo servers. Its all luck and the trust that people with crappy internet connections don't play online. The game would work better if it matched people up with like connection speeds.

Dycras

Well whats up with the random match issue, I have a good connection I can play Mario Kart Wii worldwide without a problem, I'm in the Uncharted 2 beta on the PS3 without a hiccup, I play my 360 online with no trouble the only game I have a problem with is Brawl, because I simply cant find a match. That's not that's not the fault of my connection.

That is the biggest piece of crap I ever heard. I have great fast internet that wired and whenever i go to random matches on ps3 or 360 there is lag in 1/2 matches. Like playing halo there'd always be one or two people stealing internet from their neighbors and they'd make people teleporting everywhere. Same with uncharted but worse. Its been so bad before that once when i was playing online in halo the time just suddenly stopped in the match, and the reason i got annoyed with this was because i was dead and the respawn time stopped too. Saying ps3 and 360 are lagless everytime is the biggest piece of crap invented by fanboys to get people to buy their system.

Ummm... Dude? Sepewrath didn't say a single fanboyish thing in that post. He was just complaining about Brawl's match-finding system. He even mentioned that he's never had a problem with MKWii's online. Maybe you should cool it and make sure you're reading posts correctly before you turn on your fanboy rage.

I'm sorry, but like most people who have posted so far, I think this is a terrible idea.

You just have to have a written review so that you know why the reviewer thinks the game is good or bad.

And what if I like reading reviews? I regularly read reviews for games that are PS3 exclusives even though I don't own a PS3. I'm just interested in seeing how a game has turned out. I read a lot of reviews here on GS for games that I have no intention of buying - because I like to read video game reviews. Reviews are why I started coming to GS in the first place.

I know! We should get rid of books too! They should only make movies. Books take too long to read.

Terrible idea.

Oh, and why is "Well" the third option in your plan? "Yes", "No", and "Well"? Shouldn't the step in between yes and no be "maybe"?

Yeah... I don't really know why this would annoy anybody. Unless you're in the situation that ianuilliam described. Either way, you get to play the game, and isn't that what it's all about? The only reason you should be mad about ports is if you're a Wii gamer. The only time Wii gets a multiplat is as a port from the PS2 version. And really, that's not good for anyone. I really wish devs would stop doing THAT. PS2 to Wii ports = bad.

EDIT:

Okami is the exeption to this rule.

Actually, Okami also speaks against the tp's original assertion as well. Okami was ported to Wii well after its initial PS2 release. Nobody with a Wii complained about getting an old game - the port made sense because the Wii brought some new possibilities for the game. Of course, we're not dealing with timed excusivity with Okami, either.

[QUOTE="musicalmac"]I guess my next question would be, "Where is the hardcore part?" :Pcarlisledavid79

Yeah it's the grannies and soccer moms who play RTS:lol:

How do you know that some dont ?

OK, I can see this very quickly becoming a very stupid argument.

EDIT:

*looks at the five comments that were posted as I wrote this*

Too late!

I want to get a 360 controller to use with my pc (I don't own a 360).

I'm just a little confused about which controller to get.

There seems to be three different controllers: the wired 360 controller, the wireless controller, and the wireless controller for windows.

Their prices seem to be $40, $50, and $60, respectively.

I have always been under the impression that any 360 controller would work with a pc, but if that's the case, what is the purpose of the more expensive 360 controller for windows? I would prefer to get the cheapest controller possible (I don't care much about wireless).

So, can I just go to Best Buy and go to the 360 accessories section and grab a cheaper, wired controller, or do I need to get the special windows one?

I would suggest changing the title of the thread to "'Off the Radar' Games" or, better yet, something like "Hidden Gems". I honestly couldn't tell what this thread was about from the title.
