Which system has the best library?

charizard1605

Also, the Wii and the PSP are in the same slot because both have the (relatively) worst libraries this gen, so if you vote for Option # 5, please specify which one you DID vote for.

charizard1605

So... If I vote for the Wii or PSP, I'm obviously wrong.

I have the sneaking suspicion that this poll is ever-so-slightly biased...

I could be wrong, but as far as I understand it, the difficulty setting only alters the amount of damage inflicted/received. If that's the case, it shouldn't noticeably change game length.

people's complaints about Nintendo having to release new IP's is silly. think about it

they have a great set of AAA franchises... of which they release new iterations that are AAA as well.... whats the problem here, you dont like AAA games?

ogvampire

Here's a list of first-party exclusive, non-downloadable, already released games that were new IPs created this gen.

(I may have missed one or two, but I think this is it.)

Make of this what you will.

Sony

InFamous

Resistance

Heavenly Sword

Little Big Planet

Eye of Judgement

Lair

Motorstorm

White Knight Chronicles

Nintendo

Wii Sports

Wii Fit

Wii Play

Wii Music

Disaster: Day of Crisis

Endless Ocean

Microsoft

Too Human

Crackdown

Blue Dragon

Infinite Undiscovery

Lost Odyssey

Kameo

Ninety-Nine Nights

Ninja Blade

Viva Pinata

cool... what does this have to do with my statement?

It's a tangential continuing of the conversation in which you were taking a part. I apologize if I offended you by including your comment in a quote.

gears 2 is exclusive.

dragonfly110

But Gears of War isn't an exclusive IP. And we were talking about IPs, not games.

Umm How about the 2 best new IPs created this gen Uncharted and gears of war?

Well, Gears of War isn't exclusive (it's on the PC) and, honestly, I'm not sure how I missed Uncharted.

care to list the ones for Wii? mind you I said games not mini 'tests' for the motion sensing like WiiSports or else sorry excuse for training like Wii Fit.Malta_1980

The reason I included Wii Sports, etc. is because if you decide to remove the games you don't like (or even genuinely crappy games) then you'd have to remove at least half of everyone's list and then it gets all subjective and messy and nobody's happy.

Ok then. When will Nintendo start releasing new IP's and not sequels/titles for 20+ year old franchises?

I just thought I'd mention that none of the Superman games have been based on a movie except for Superman Returns (granted, that game DID suck pretty hard). Also, it seems to me that the worst Batman games were the ones not based on movies (I remember Batman for NES and Batman Forever for the Genesis being pretty rad).

[QUOTE="Birdy09"][QUOTE="IronBass"] What did WoW "dumb down"? WoW made MMOs accesible for most gamers, something that is a huge requirement for a "Massive Multiplayer" game. Its success is based on how easy it's to start on it and how complex it gets later. It's a very smart design for its genre.sSubZerOo
Please, WoWs end game is neither complex or even the best of its genre. most of the classes are now carbon copies of eachother, theres no need for setups, Final Fantasy 11's combat is more complex and rewarded beneath the surface (im ofc talking end game).

FFXI hardest part ist he time sink, this isn't defending WoW but seriously FFXI? The vast majority of MMOs main difficulty is time needed.. This includes FFXI, or even old juggernauts like EQ.. I can only think of one game I have read about that actualy seems to be more skill based and thats Eve Online though I have never played it... Though obviously it has to go to Beth and their Oblivion, one of the largest over-rated PoS games of all time imo.

I've never understood why so many people think WOW is dumbed down. In my opinion, it's just easier to play because the UI is much more intuitive than most - gameplay in general in more intuitive, I think. If someone could explain exactly what is dumbed down, I would be happy to listen.
