@xolivierx: the studio read your post and your prayers have been answered. Thor has been recast as Sir Micheal Caine and Sir Anthony Hopkins rather than playing Odin will now be the incredible hulk. Sir Ian McKellen will now be playing the roll of Odin. Natalie Portman's character will now be played by Dame Judi Dench. And to top it all off Natalie Portman's comic relief friends couple from the last thor movie will be played by Sir Patrick Stewart and Dame Helen Mirren. Loki will still be play by Tom Hiddleston because that guy is pretty good. The entire movie has now cast great actors for all its rolls. Happy?
the main website for this thing is interesting; it has a shit ton of ports in general, usb hdmi and beyond. Something tells me this is not for the realm of the casual gamer but rather for the well inclined pc user or better. it does beg the question what will the games be and why should we care though.
majora's mask and chrono trigger go down as my 2 most favorite games of all time. if they put those out for wii u my finances would be in serious trouble and my wife would be pissed. Worth it.
Though they lost me and my interest on halo 4, I do think it's a good idea to not shoe horn everything into a trilogy form and rather let the story unfold naturally. This praise comes from my gripe about the mass effect "trilogy." They took a story that should have easily been closer 5 games to reach a suitable climax rather than blowing their load in 3 games and making the capitulation seemed rushed. Basically the series can be directly compared to mass effect 3's original ending. All the sudden it's the end, you barely know how you got there and a whole bunch of unexplained stuff just flew on by without even a passing mention. So pretty much kudos to 343 for not trying to stuff a possibly long and rewarding storyline into 3 games. huzzah.
@Belokkian @6orange6 has there been any info out regarding whether the kinect has to be fully functional while attached in order for the x1 to work or can it be attached but stuffed in an insulated foam box?
I think the point they're missing is not the "value" they're providing but the fact that $500 will seem prohibitive to many people. there are certain price points for items that have the perception of being attainable rather than being outside affordability. I think that $500 is just over that point which will make anyone who is pinching their pennies think twice. I think $450 would make the system more competitive to a larger group while still being not to far below their own cost, they'll make it up in volume. Hell, I can get even more "value" if I hook an honest to goodness PC up to my television and play games, surf the web, chat with folk, etc.
eh, I'm bored of halo. I used to think all i needed were new settings in which to play the halo platform but since it got taken over by microsoft i'm pretty much done. It plays like COD walking through molasses and their plot direction is pretty much all about catering to fan boys at this point. I agree with others, halo and CoD multiplayers are going to be pretty much indiscernible by the next iteration of each.
