Commander mode has it ups and downs. In general, I like it.

If you have, or are, a good commander, it can really bring the game to a exciting new level.

If you have, or are, a bad commander, it can really be a bummer.

I think it will add a lot to the game that was missing in BF3.

Yes, BF2142 is still up and running.

There are not a ton of servers, but there are enough for you to get into a game.

I think the BF franchise is on sale right now on Origin, so you can get BF2142 at 50% off = $7.49.

That includes Northern Strike as well.

It's fun and it works. It would be nice if it were easier to make scenarios - still buggy as heck. :-(

BF3 with Premium was $110 - $60 + $50 - if you bought it full price, and imho it was worth it.

But, BF3 and/or Premium have seen sales promotions that have brought the combined price to as low as $35 for BOTH on Origin as recently as about 2 months ago.

Even at $50, Premium was a good buy any way you look at it:

- $10 per DLC instead of $15 = savings of $25

- $2 per new map plus $2 per new game mode, new vehicles, and lots of new weapons, etc.

- Special XP events, DLC and game guides, and advanced queue status, etc.

Frankly, if you're playing BF3 without any DLC or Premium, you aren't playing the same game.

The End Game maps are some of the best work they have ever done - beautifully rendered and wide open.

Also, the BF series games are TEAM-BASED MULTIPLAYER and as such, you normally will always see some sort of teams, like squads. BF without teams would lose its major appeal. If you don't want squads, then please by all means go play lone wolf or just stick to CoD type games. BF without team-based multiplayer might as well hang it up - we don't need another CoD series.

So, I hope you get a chance to pick up Premium at one of the sales this spring - it's worth every penny.

I think some of the people who make those "gimmicky" things are not going to be very happy with him right now. I hope he knows how to duck and cover in real life too...

This is their "new" logic - if you can't make a stupid app, and then sell it to 20 million twerps for $5 a pop, then you're stupid because the dumb app let's you be lazy and still make money because it's a "niche" product.

"Niche" meaning it's "new", so "I gotta get one" so I can be with the "in crowd" and be "trendy", and not appear to be "behind" and "out of the loop".

In the gaming industry, a lot of this is called DLC. Only problem is that gamers want DLC with content, longevity, impact, and true value, so you can't just roll out a stupid, glitzy-looking app and make oodles of money until you roll out another stupid, glitzy-looking app next week.

Industry people like that just want to find a fast, easy, lazy way to make quick gobs of money, then rinse and repeat as necessary so they can get back to their "real job", which is spending all that money on themselves...

This has got to be one of the dumbest poll questions ever.

"What is the BF franchise know for?" Team-based multiplayer.

"What is the BF franchise good at?" Team-based multiplayer.

"What is the BF franchise not so good at because they had never done it before?"Single player campaign.

"What did the BF franchise do well in BF3 that they are foolishly not going to do in BF4?" Team-based multiplayer co-op missions

"So, are you more looking forward to what they do well, that is team-based multiplayer, or are you looking forward to what they don't do as well, and that you may only play once or twice, that is single player campaign (sorry but you can't vote for co-op because we're too foolish to make that for BF4)?"

ANSWER =

"D'uh, let me think now... d'uh, hmmmmm,... d'uh, I guess I'll say multiplayer - d'uh, is that the right answer boss?"

Seriously, what a waste of time and polls...

@Lach0121 @duderdave He is talking about the Relic-THQ-Sega forum. It is horribly unprofessional.
