So I shouldn't really bother running ID4 and UE3 based games (eg: Doom 3, Quake 4, Unreal Tournament III, etc.)... Anyway thanks for the info and Merry Christmas :-D

So far I know the Aspire 5536 is both ID3 (tested with Return to Castle Wolfenstein) and UE2 (tested with UT2004) Capable (runs both engines at max detail smoothly). But has trouble with ID4 (tested with Doom 3 - runs so-so on Low) and can fair okay with Nexuiz (runs smoothly on Normal at 1024x768 resolution).

I've been trying to find the specification for the Radeon HD 3200 to see what settings for Antialiasing and Antistropic Filter I crank it to.

If anyone is familiar with the Acer Aspire 5536 and the Radeon HD 3200 (GPU fitted in this model), I am very curious to know far I can crank my laptop.

All because of one Attorney General's opinions and his stance against the R18+ classification for games. Michael Atkinson. It would appear that he believes games should be no more violent than the 1960's Batman Movie/TV Series! That's why!

XP has been the only stable version of Windows even after Vista being on the scene for all this time. Windows 7 from what I've seen of the recent Beta is in a nutshell... Vista-Nice (GUI and Effects) and XP-Stable... It is a better system than Vista for sure. As for the games... The Beta handled a lot them pretty well. About a year or so from it's initial release, and you should see Windows 7 take off.

Out of all the games on PSN I bought for PSP... Super Stardust Portable with SSP EP, other than that it's pile of UMDs in a duffel. So long as Sony aren't looking to replace PSP outright with the PSG... It's all good.

The idea of repurchasing all my games which I have on UMD on top of paying something like 250 to 300 AUD for... Rack off! With a PSP 3000, a GoCam and stack of games majority on UMD. I'm more interested in Aussie PSN Cards than a stupid PSG! Here in Australia. Both are currently a no-show!
