I wouldn't be so quick to believe such negative romours, given it's a new system. Not all the titles announced for the Vita came out during the launch, most of the good stuff is due to come out in May. To be honest, I am inclined to believe that for the Vita - This is the calm before the proverbial storm ;-)

It's only a matter of time before Tropical Storm Vita goes Category 5! OH YEAH!!!

I asked the techs from PlayStation Australia about that and they're working on it... Fingers crossed we get full PS3 game support when everything is finally fully operational. I am eagerly awaiting for the day when I can play Saints Row and Skyrim on my Vita!

Got mine on Feb 23. 3G with Wifi. Firstly the 3G is not locked to Vodafone Hutchison (if you bought the Aussie models), on the Official Buyers Guide it clearly says "Preferred Carrier" as SCE Australia techs will back that up. So you can put a simcard from any carrier in there and still use the 3G! As for the main reason I got a Vita... It is better than the PSP 3000 and blows the 3DS away (visually at least). Played the Unit 13 demo and the Vita's performance showed me that this machine has great potential to rock at shooters along with being a highly versatile system. The processing power is impressive (so far) as I have found that Modnation Racers for the PSP froze when using the track editor, but Roadtrip... It kept on going! To compare this to any other system of it's kind... 3DS vs Vita... In my opinion the 3DS comes off as being gimmicky by comparison. Razer's Project Fiona vs Vita... A day for Sony to dread - Vita's true nemesis to be unleashed upon the World (to sound of Mussorgsky's Bare Mountain). In all seriousness the Vita is awesome portable gaming experience.

Not yet enabled, but PS1 games are the only ones you can currently use for that.. When that feature is fully operational, you're going to have less of a reason to go on a Vita game spending spree as you have a stack of PS3 titles to play. I'm hanging out for Sony to fully activate that one too!

Given I can balance the 16GB of my iPhone between my assortment of apps, a hearty music mix and still have space to play with... I would personally say 16GB works potentially well for the Vita.

ask yourself... "What I want from portable gaming machine?" What the Vita offers has a great deal of potential to say the least being new tech. So far the against the 3DS (in 2D) the graphics are crisp by comparison. Double the touch capability as well as dual sticks and more than likely more processing power. If 3G is something may contemplate, in Australia (though I cannot clearly speak for the other models) the device is not locked to any one exclusive carrier. Is the price justifiable? It comes down to how serious you are about Vita. As for competition... I'd wait for the Razer to put Project Fiona into production. Until that day comes, Vita is in a league of it's own!

I've had my 3G WiFi model for about few days now and NO regrets thus far! Worth it? If you want a budget handheld... Nintendo. If you want HiDef and processing power... $350 - $450 is an investment (if you're serious about it)
