It takes some getting used to and it's not as precise as a 360 controller that's for sure more ps3 games should have mouse keyboard support. However it isn't terrible it does work the sticks just need more resistance I feel.
If you played microsoft combat flight sim as the Germans you lose, it's actually really disheartening to go through an entire campaign winning missions and then get the "but you ended up losing the war" cutscene I would've much preferred an alternate ending in this case where I actually won.
I had a launch 360 and I'm not even vaguely cautious with it and it was fine then I traded it for a launch elite which has also been fine neither got hot neither had loud disc drives.
My Wii got a DRE 6 months after buying it so I needed that repaired.
My PS3 didn't even work out of the box (for some reason it just plain old wouldnt switch on nothing lit up or anything).
So from my experience xbox 360 is the most reliable console :)
I think the 370 cars thing was right I read an announcement along the same lines a while ago hopefully they'll have a few more by the time it releases if it really is going to be a 2010 release.
