Either pick the military or a career elsewhere

That whole "oh go military just for a few years" talk is awful

If you're going to join the military then make it your career which means you go through the ranks and hopefully if you're smart enough and good enough get to a top position.

If you think you want to go to college then do that and find a career somewhere and if you're smart enough and good enough get to a top position

The military is not some kind of extended summer camp that people get to explore before they start the rest of their lives

When you join the military that means you're signing up to be put in harm's way for the country and it's citizens and even friends of our country. That means whatever else you have going on in your life does not matter when you get the call that says you're leaving.

Doing well in your job and when you miss time you wont get that advancement you were aiming for? Too bad

Wife is 8 months pregnant and you don't want to miss the birth? Too bad

Mother has cancer and you want to see her while she dies? Too bad

Either pick military and make it your career or pick another line of work and make that your career

The military is not an extended summer camp

you dont need to make military a career. use it as it will surely use you. get whatever you can out of it but that doesnt mean 20 yrs for everyone. knew a master-at-arms. he did one enlistment, got out and now works for ncis making a hell of a lot more than being enlisted. anyway my point is, the military IS a camp. not summer camp but, you can join it, learn a trade, useful skill and get out. my neighbors son learned to fix trucks and stuff while in the air force. all FREE training he didnt have to pay for and now you know what? he can use those skills outside the force. so again you can do an enlistment, learn what you can and move on. those that want a career, already know it.

its almost like you forgot what makes the USA the USA? what other place in the world does so many different groups, different views, different religions live in one place in peace? relative peace anyway. lastly, i think if you do TRULY believe in separation by ideology then whats next? by hair color? sex origination? race? if you open a box like that you start something.

do you work now? do you have any work ethnic? the thing is, some people do fail or end up hating military life because they werent ready for it at the time. after signing the contract isnt the time to find out you hate taking orders or you like to question stupid orders when no one asked for your opinion. its no different than anything really except you can walk away from school, etc without being arrested. on the other hand, if you believe you are mature enough to handle it and you have a plan, then stick to it. you can even pay for your own schooling. also, you do know you can do both? college and military? rotc

converters can be found at any electronic store. best buy might have some. adapters to place on the ends of the cable, the pins you actually plug into a wall, you can get those are hardware stores as well. in unrelated news, i would have imagined the 360 would be auto sensing. using the wrong voltage should only kill the brick. again SHOULD. still regardless you want a surge protector, hell just get an UPS. sometimes these places, foreign lands, have dirty power and that will kill your power brick whether its 220 to 220 or 110 to 110.

People and myths, sigh, why is there even the need to debunk them?, let them be strong by themselves IMO.-KinGz-

Because the myth is literally costing people their lives. Countless women (and men) are destroying themselves in order to reach a goal weight that only gets tinier, that never comes to fruition. I mean, we have magazines photoshopping deathly underweight women to be even skinnier, if you cannot see an issue there, well, I'm glad I'm not you. The point of anorexia and bulimia is that these people cannot be strong on their own, rarely do individuals overcome it without intervention.

If they fall for magazine ads they deserve it

yep, we cant all be strong. let the weak die. weak of body, weak of mind, weak of etc...you get the point.

if the question is why continue to live, then that is something only the individual can decide. at the end of the day i say all life is meaningless. just take a look up at the nights sky to be reminded how small you are. whether you live or die, matters not. whether this world exists, matters not. nothing really matters. that is not to say people cant have their own personal enjoyments.
