GT5, quite possibly a perfect 10.

950+ cars, over 50 tracks. Top Gear, Go Karts, NASCAR, Best damage system already. The list goes on. Tons of great trailers and footage come out almost weekly which always stuns in one way or another. (Here's one of my favorites)

For a comparison, Forza 3 has little over 400 cars and 25 tracks. While yes Forza 3 will be almost exactly a year old by the time GT5 comes out. It's still amazing.

The only down side I can think of is that the CE is kinda boring.

if you go to gamerankings, there are more flops made by Polyphony Digital than AAA, what makes you think they're going to magically create a 10 when they NEVER EVER had anything close to a 10 nor get higher than 9.5 on gs?

The Go-Karts look so horribly boring. Nascar will only appeal to people who like only turning left :P. I hope GT5 is awesome but some of it already looks a bit meh. I guess Forza has already given us some stuff to play with and GT5 prolouge imo was rather meh.

The problem is, in trying to achieve so much, componenets of the game could be rather lacking. Not saying they will, but its logical that the more spread out something is, the less attention each component will get (unless you have a humungous workforce).

I think 9.0-9.5.

Even thought the game will have 5x more content, better looking and a better simulator then Forza, I suspect it will be 9.5 myself. (safe way not to lose every lem on the site)

I agree but PD has taken 5 years to develop the game to ensure these things do not happen, i'm not saying it's a guarenteed 10 but you gotta admit it is pretty well on track for a 9.5 JohnF111

The time no doubt mitigated some of that workload over time. Still, I just don't wanna put too much faith into it.

Like I said, I wouldn't be surprised to see it attain the 9.0-9.5. Either way, i'll be buying it.

Polyphony Digital is like matt leinart. When there was no competition, it excelled, like how matt leinart excelled at the amateur level. But when a better competition came along, he failed, same as polyphony digital. When there was no competition, they excelled but once Forze showed up, GT's scores got lower and lower.

I thought the release date was years ago - we're 5 years into this generation already, and I could have sworn it was originally scheduled to release only a couple years in.

A racer that has 4/5 of its primary content being inferior to the remaining cannot, should not, be prime.

there are 100 employees, they only make 1 game, GT, you have to wonder what they're doing for past year. Think logically, they average about 7 million (according to their own website) copies per game. how iwonder if they would make any profit.

From what I see a-spec was better then all but one, with the difference being .1 ... a difference not even possible with today's scoring system

and this is the most important: What people, who are in the business of racing, say about it.

If you can give any of those to Forza then you can go sit in the corner with the other lems.

The rest of us know the deal, knows what's coming, and know that Forza, while good, was just keeping us occupied.

Reach has a whole boat load of new features.

But I'm with mitu, a 10 should be out of the question. For me, I don't think GT5 should score a 10 and be labeled Prime because of the Standard and Premium cars, and the differences between them.

Any racing sim fan knows that Forza is just an appetizer/warm-up for Gran Turismo 5.
It's just like comparing Saint's Row to a blockbuster called GTA4, you just KNOW which one has the production value's and a big budget to give the game that extra polish.

but just the premium cars are even/more then another game that got 9.5..... with more tracks/race types/time changes/weather changes/arguably better physics/dmg and that's all I can think of off the top of my head......

But a new forge and jetpacks is 10?
