BioShock clearly desevers it. Halo has already got plenty of fame and MP in BioShock wouldn't fit the feeling that BioShock shows. Although I do think Assassin's Creed should have walked a way with something.
Seriously, who did you want to win GOTY. BioShock in opinion was the right choice, even though I love Halo, I was happy that it didn't win. I wanted the more original and creative game to win(BioShock)
If you haven't already owned a Spider-Man game then you sould get Spider-Man 3. I say that because it feels a lot like the others, but they are all really fun and interesting.Also it's only like $20 at Best Buy.

p.s. I've been playing Halo 3, Guitar Hero 3, Mass Effect, and Assassins Creed. So don't think that I shouldn't even be a Gamepot user, because I don't play many games. LOL
Wouldn't you use it if you were making a game? I mean yeah a lot of people use it because it's got great graphics, the engine runs fast, and Unreal games are some of the best games avalable so developers think they can hit one out of the park. Also, it takes a long time to just make the engine for a game, most developers just want to go straight to the game and start making the final product. And, there are others out there, but when developers use this way to make their game and then the game sucks, theres no excuse in my opinion.
