seriously the controller looks just like the ps3 one except slightly longer and a touchpad shoved on it. i believe the touch pad is a good idea my guess is it's going to be used for the cursor on there internet browser more than anything, it also can be used as a button so that adds another button it also could be used as a touchpad in games to move around menu's easier or certain patterns i don't know, i'm not that fussed it hasn't really done anything to the conroller in the way of the button layouts so i'm glad, but my honest opinion is i'd of liked the analogs to be like the 360 in there placement, as if you hold a controller your thumbs are pointing upwars on a controller and giving you better aim on fps's than the dualshock as you have to strain your thumb to the position and work with it, don't get me wrong i've gotten used to it over the years and it's just second nature but i still like the 360 controller design not the feel. 

who cares? what does it matter if they are pure or not? If anything its quite sad that these mega corps can release better systems than a pure console manufacturercampzor

I think you've nailed it right there!! seriously the whole topic starts off with saying they are pure and that they are the only company who just do gaming consoles, and yet there behind with graphics, they should be up there better than the rest with graphics and there gameplay as it is.

i love nintendo i really do and will always love there games but the truth is from the new up until now the games have been exactly the same. i mean how many times can they bring out a mario game which is a side to side game. i'm just getting older now and just feel like i've been there done that with there games.

yea i bet they have a great relationship with xbox when they left halo high and dry for them and then told them they were going multi-plat, when halo was always an exclusive. and they must be doing well for sony as they let them show case it at they're unveiling conference. 

looks awesome and it did make me laugh finally a game whats about humour than all the serious stuff whats going about.

playstation has the better exclusives in my eyes, and a whole lot more. Too many microsoft exclusives have already moved over to playstation, and with this article from ign.com it just shows you the sheer exclusive range sony has to offer and most aren't even from the main lot.

i mean thats just for the ps3, this year, and as much as i do like xbox 360 games i honestly haven't seen enough variety over the years which haven't become multi-plats to get me excited about the new xbox. all i seem to see is gears of war - which is alright, halo which has now left it's home of bungie to a different developer anyway, forza which is a great racing sim but i'm not to into racing and i'm not really into fps's and the fable series which hasn't got the main man who inspired the series anymore so is that going to be any good, probably not. and thats it for the main ones. 

sony has, naughty dog who make great third person action adventure games, resistance which is a good fps, heavy rain developers who are bringing out beyond 2 souls, and probably working on somthing for the ps4 already, team ico, who we haven't really seen this gen except for there hd remakes and little is known about there new game which is now  ps4 exclusive, lots of good exclusive rpg's, i think sony has the better top game exclusives in all genre's. When yes xbox has it's fair share of exclusives but not on par with what sony has to offer in variety.

I love the settings and i love the whole story and you know my favourite part is the whole si-fi element to it.

But really how can anyone like these games when the whole gameplay is so simplistic and repetitive and boring, if only they made the sword fighting and the actual assinations more thrilling than they are, it was a complete bore fest just to finish AC2. o and the actual running around roof tops a bit more challenging so i felt achievement getting around the place.

Actually all these games also going to PS3(and Xbox) are going to hurt the PS4... not vice versa. Until PS4 gets games exclusively... why run out and buy a PS4 to play games that we will be able to play on the PS3. Is KNACK a system seller? lol. The reality is like with Wii U... early adapters of the PS4 will have a new system without a good game library... and it might take up to a year or more for EXCLUSIVE games to start swaying people to buy a Next Gen system.

I'm actually going to wait and buy them all on the ps4 if there coming to the ps3 and ps4. plus i don't believe that the reality is like the Wii U, the Wii U shot itself in the foot by not having any of the big hitters even hitting anywhere near launch there all coming out later this year. sony has shown a couple of games and thats it, thats not even anyone really first party games. the ps4 is now made like a pc which means that they can design quicker with pc in mind, this means games will come out quicker. which means naughty dog may have something up there sleeves, as they split into 2 groups 1 making uncharted 3 and one making the last of us, uncharted 3 came out a while ago so there up to something, and there's loads of other companies not shown up yet which i believe will be launch material. gran turismo i really believe is probably going to hit around launch, i mean people say they'll benefit from a ps3 launch but seriously they waited over 5years just to release GT5 so money doesn't seem an object for them. 

I'll be getting a ps4 at launch and i think games coming out for it which are going to be on ps3 aswel is just going to help people think well i might aswel buy a new system as i'm going to be getting it at some point anyway and all these games are going to be there at launch. i hope this is the case. but we'll see, i don't think sony can aford not to do a great launch line up

My friends know but the actual people who need to know don't I.E non gamers. like my parents, my dad isn't much of a gamer these days but he was and still to this day finds some time to play golf games, and he loves having the next big thing, but i asked him about it and he hadn't got a clue it was a new console. i asked my mum and she was like what is it an add-on i've seen it on the telly but thought it was just a new controller for the Wii.

The name of it, in my eyes is the BIGGEST F**k UP in gaming history. i honestly believe if they had changed the name, it would of done so much better and marketed it as the predesscer to the Wii, the casuals would of lapped it up. I mean you have the Wii mote, Wii fit, Wii whatever else there is and then bring out a brand new console called the Wii U, i could see it a mile away when it first got announced i honestly thought that the Wii U name was just a prototype name or something but nope they stuck and it's going to really hurt them and i honestly believe that all whats wrong with the system really is the name to appeal to the casual fans who made the Wii what it is today. 

The problem i have is i haven't got enough money to truly put into pc gaming i have an ok rig for playing games but nothing major what will show me the cream of the crop, so i stick with the ps3 for the good graphics and i must admit i am a little bit looking at games coming out thinking they aren't the best graphics compared to some older games, and i am a person who grew up playing the amiga 500 and played alot on a commadore 64,

i think my greatest game i used to love playing when i was a kid was hook on the aimga, and also a detective game where you was on a cruise ship and someone had been murdered and you had to go round finding out clues and everytime you found something out the time would move on. was brilliant at the time lol,

Nothing really wow's me anymore. i think the only thing what would wow me now is playing a game with cgi graphics throughout, and i'm hoping for the day in sport games that the shirts ripple in the wind and are actually hanging off the character more than being the character. and i think i may be wowed when i see a ps4 wrestling game. will soon see. that tech demo they showed was amazing but that was a cut scene so who knows what the actual gameplay will look like

i love mario and i love zelda i grew up with them on my nes/snes, but seriously how long can a company keep bringing out consoles with exactly the same games on it, mario kart, it's been the same since the snes days, mario brothers o look the same 2d side scrolling adventure yet again for the 100th time but in hd this time ooooooo, zelda same old same old, 

On topic, what are you on about, Wii-U's graphics look about on par with ps3/360 i don't care if it's gameplay over graphics, games should be looking absolutely amazing 6/7 years on not just on par. there lagging behind, the core customers the casual gamers don't even know it exists, i asked my mum and dad if they were getting it and they said what that add on thing for the Wii lol seriously the worsed marketing i've ever seen, calling a new console Wii-U was the biggest mistake they ever made. once the ps4 hits, and with the easier to development process and the new xbox hit's esp at E3 and when it hits selves, with the ps4's move which alot more developers will hit that market with the new easier development, and with the kinect 2.0 rumoured coming out with it, there will be no point in a  Wii-U except for it's fans.
