i hope they change this "i wanna be the strongest" motive for playing, replacing it with the "i wanna have fun while playing with other people" motive. Because, even though being the strongest IS fun, only a few can be the strongest... which means the majority is weaker, which means the majority may not be having as much fun as the strongests... Games should be designed for a majority, not for a minority.
Hi-end graphics are ALWAYS a welcome addition... But it is just that: an addition. They must never be the heart of a game. The most important aspect of a game is its gameplay. Although, many people get confused and tend to tie both concepts together. I personally love to see how these indi games kick the crap out of the big companies and make much better games with just a fraction of their budget. Just remember this little formula to differ a good game from a bad one: Imagine the game with crappy graphics and then ask yourself if it'd still be playable... if the answer is no, then it is not a good game.
low score.... must I remind you Batman Arkham City is also very repetitive and still got a 9 or smth? Borderlands is repetitive but extremely exciting and addictive. Long and hilarious.... This is a 9.0 game, no matter what.
i do not agree with the video:I think it is a mistake to stick to a skill tree from the beginning. The best abilities are the most basic and the most advanced ones. So, when you already know you cannot reach any of the advanced ones, i would spread my skill points over all the basic abilities i like. Then, once i have all the points needed, i'll re-spec and focus on a tree to grasp that final ability for a big punch.
