Never played Borderlands and honestly i wasn't that interested in this one either. But i was in town, saw it on offer with the Premier club bonus content and thought "what the hell?".
One of the best decisions of my gaming life! This game is just so much fun. A few things could be explained better but the sheer fun of everything is incredible. The locations the enemies, the fact something is always going on. Be it getting better weapons facing new enemies, levelling up or gaining more "badass" rank by doing objectives keeps the game interesting fresh and moving along at a great pace.
One of the best games i've played so far this year.
i do not agree with the video:I think it is a mistake to stick to a skill tree from the beginning. The best abilities are the most basic and the most advanced ones. So, when you already know you cannot reach any of the advanced ones, i would spread my skill points over all the basic abilities i like. Then, once i have all the points needed, i'll re-spec and focus on a tree to grasp that final ability for a big punch.
Just out of curiosity, I do play this game, but...does anyone really argue that the Illuminati did not bring you this game? That they aren't saying "we were here" ALL over the game and its cover? Just curious, is all.
Oh wait, they don't exist...haha. =)
The main reason i wont buy this game is
1) Ridiculously DLC content... i mean a month after release? Really? Come on
2) Seems we gonna have Borderlands 3 in a year or 2 .. They are not aiming to a game to keep you busy for years to come like more traditional online RPGs similar to Diablo 2 or any mmos...
Thats sad . Otherwise i would buy it for sure... But i pass.
Hey, i was at the boss stage with flynt, and and dying a few I quit the game, the next day i started it again, i was at southern shelf which is miles away from flynt, what the solution to this, how can we load the mission to the nearest save point.
This game is absolutely freaking amazing. It is pure fun at it's best. I must say Gearbox really outdid themselves. Definitely my game of the year so far. I also wonder how many of us were born of January 1st.
Play with friends. Play with friends. Play with friends. If you don't every time you respawn everyone you damaged(but didn't kill) will magically heal themselves and this can mean alot.
Trying to give "tips" to win at the game -> only shows low lvl content (where most of the tips don't really matter)...
The only tips worth there were the "dont get attached" and the "play with friends" ones.
Vault Hunters addition being delivered tomorrow... Booked next week off work :D ahhhhhhhhhhh sooooo excited
I love those Goliaths. My friend and I leveled one up to God-liath and it followed us to a certain giant boss spiderant and we sat back and watched the epic battle unfold. We've also pitted God-liath against God-liath.
This game has so much going for it. Awesome good time.
wow not to be a hater but after playing the pc version and now watching the 360/PS3 version in this vid they honestly look so terrible :O
@BuuTwo You know what? it's people like you that should be ashamed of calling yourself a gamer if you ever have (:
@AzatiSBy that logic I wouldn't buy video games ever again. I can't think of many (actually ANY) game at the moment that havn't released DLC within the first few months of launch. Also, where did you hear/read we would be getting BL3 "within a year or 2"? Randy Pichford has hinted about upcoming games but nothing solid and certainly no dates. Also, they do indeed intend to have us coming back for more; BL1 was a great game that a lot of people (myself included) have been playing off and on since launch; Randy has stated on numerous occasions that BL2 had SO much more to keep people coming back. And finally, this isn't an mmo, nor was it ever supposed to be. I think you should at least rent this game, it's loads of fun, and this is coming from someone that's not that crazy about fps'ers and a Diablo 2 junkie.
@Aniketkibe shoot to kill
@Aniketkibe Do some sidequests to grow levels and then try flynt again
@paulosouza Hey, I actually worked very closely with Chris Waters (my colleague who reviewed the game) to produce this video, so the tips are coming from someone who's played 30 hours plus.
The reason the footage is lvl 10/11 is because I captured a lot of it using my own character, hence the lower level content.
@Cheeses89 That sucks you have to wait longer to get the best package, I'm sure you will catch up quickly though!
@SlowMotionKarma How do you make that happen without them attacking you? I have always just ended up killing them as fast as I could.
@metalkid9 Wow not to be a hater or anything but after playing on my nice setup and seeing some PC Vids for this, my Xbox360 version still looks Beasty.
@metalkid9 I know, the PC version is ridiculously gorgeuos
@Warful I had to tell somebody. None of my friends played the first borderlands and I played the hunter all the way to the level cap. So basically when we blood wing dies i was half way in tears and no one else even cared. Sorry if i ruined it for you, but I did say spoiler alert
@graydude0220 :- Ya, that would be good, bt do u know the solution to the save problem, the next time i start the game, i would have to travel miles to get to flynt again killing all the psychos in between the way.
@Psmitty456 @SlowMotionKarma They WILL eventually attack you, so put on your running shoes. We hunt for Goliaths right when the area spawns enemies and headshot 'em from as far away as possible. They automatically attack anything near them. When they come after you, just sprint to more enemies. Eventually the Goliath will kill them all, so you lead it to another arena where more enemies spawn.
Frostburn Cavern is a great place to do this, 'cause it's cyclical and around 5 Goliaths spawn throughout the map. There's also plenty of enemies for them to level up to GODliath with.
Once they come upon something strong (boss, another Goliath, etc.) and attack it, keep sprinting to put them out of "jumping distance" and they'll battle each other until one dies.
@TheSnowmanSaint like the other guy said You have to play it on a PC 1080p all maxed out to appreciate the quality. Watching a low resolution PC gameplay won't do any justice, my friend.
@BuuTwo So...because you don't have friends to talk about this game with, you decided to piss off other people...okay typical internet troll behavior forget I said anything.
@Aniketkibe @graydude0220 That's not a problem that's how the game has always worked since the first. Checkpoints act as respawn points but not as load points. Whenever you load your game you will always start at the nearest fast travel point. It's annoying in the first area of the game since there's only two, one at the very beginning and one in Liar's Berg, but it becomes slightly less of a hassle later on.
@SlowMotionKarma Thanks, can't wait to try that out!
@GarGx1 @TheSnowmanSaint @metalkid9 I could've grabbed this for the pc but I still prefer gaming on my LED tv. While the higher res textures and faster load times are nice on the pc I still end up buying most multi platform games on console. Its all about personal preference and its not so much of a difference that most feel they are losing something.
The reason you should be getting it on PC instead of consoles is not for graphics. Graphics don't mean anything. It's just that FPS are much more enjoyable with a mouse and keyboard.
