Thanks for the replys guys. i am using xp and thought the score was a little low for that os. But like the Sentinel said Im not having any problems with my games so why worry about 3d marks :).
I have a core 2 duo 6300 @1.86mhz with a 8800gt at 600mhz. Is my cpu seriously bottlenecking my video card? Im only getting 8000 3dmark 06 score while I see 10,000 + for the 8800s.
Looking at some of the 3d06 scores for the 8800gt mine seems to be a little low. Now I know that the cpu is a big factor and they usually use a quad in their tests. Is my score low or is it on par for my video card.
I want to play Crysis, CoD4 and maybe Bioshock. but like I said only at a max res of 1280x1024. Will the 640mb be that much of a difference at that res?
Will the 8800gts 320mb be enough for future games or will it be crippled by only having 320mb of memory? Future Shop has it on for 279.99cdn which is $100 cheaper than anywhere else. I only play games at a max res of 1280 by 1024. Should I buy the 320mb superclocked or spend $120 more for the 640mb version?
Playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R at the moment and I am just amazed at the quality and detail of the cut-scenes. Anyone else think there are better scenes then Stalker?
