Playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R at the moment and I am just amazed at the quality and detail of the cut-scenes. Anyone else think there are better scenes then Stalker?
I agree. Stalkers cutscenes are superbly done! I am even willing to say it has the best cg ever (especially the whole first cutscene with the fat man eating chicken :) )
Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War also had one of the best intro cutscenes evar.Â

As much as I love NOLF, the cut-scenes really aren't anything special.

to me blizzard has the best cut-scenes ever. Stalkers didn't impress me much. Watch the full CG Starcraft Ghost cinematic and you'll see the kind of work they do. Also the ones at the beginning of WoW and BC are amazing.Â
All Blizzard cut-scenes are amazingly well done I agree also with STALKER great high point of the game Not in a so graphically impressive way, but more a of crazy cool way, I liked the cut-scenes form Devil May cry 3 and Resident evil 4, both from Capcom. Other mentions: Prince of Persia trilogy Max Payne (comicboards) Need for speed Most wanted
Resident Evil 4's cutscenes were awesome, although its safe to say the pc port wasn't. Ill agree with Blizzard having the best cutscenes for their games. The Brood War intro movie was really good.
Warhammer games have insane photorealistic opening scenes, probably teh best I've scene. But there's only one very game.... The final fantasy series is a big fan of prerendered of course.
Diablo 2 cutscenes were really good for the time, even the LOD exp pack intro is still good. STALKER's were quite crisp and looked pretty good too. I'm certainly not a Halo fanboy but the Halo 3 trailer is quite good, they do use some great camera direction though. Too bad the real game looks like halo 2 pc.
That's right, one more vote goes to Stalker. I can't remember last when (if I ever!) saw such amazing cut-scene like Stalker. I just had to recored those scenes with Fraps :). By the way, if the latest 'Eternity' trailer from Clive Barker's - Jericho is a cut-scene,(it looks so) then it's superbly done. But I'll still go with Stalker.
I'm going to go for the Final Fantasy games but for PC games then..... i dunno lol.

Looks like you haven't played many FPS & PC games. I'm only halfway through Stalker & I'm just lovin it.
I've played nearly every FPS on PC : The game just wasnt't finished and released too early + the RPG rfeatures added in just felt tacke don and had no real point to the game. The bullet registry was poor and so were the animations....
The game showed no sign of the evelopment time tbh and goes down as a big disappoinment.
Command and Conquer 3. Seriously, FULL MOTION CUTSCENES...IN A VIDEO GAME! Enough said. They are so cheesy and badly acted (except the NOD characters, Kane is doing is good acting) it's awsome.
I'd vote for Stalker but the game's cutscenes seemed too low-quality for my taste. On a 22" monitor they were very blurry and not very enjoyable. Instead, I'll say World in Conflict. That opening video along with other tidbits were great.
STALKER looked pretty good, but not amazing compared to things before it. It looked really convincing in some ways, and like it could use some work in others. I guess I'd say it's my second favorite. My favorite by far is Dawn of War's intro, nothing has surpassed that yet. I cannot wait to see Dawn of War 2's intro, I just know it's going to beat everything else before it into ground.
Although, if you count the Starcraft 2 teasers (I'm sure there will be CG scenes like what's been shown), those are the most impressive so far. I still think DoW2 will blow me away with even better CG, though.
The orc-cut scene in Warcraft 3 is one of the best out there. It was almost too good, it made the rest of the game (especially ingame cutscenes) look like crap. I could not help but think that Blizzard could have made a seriously great animation movie if they wanted to. Who needs Boll when they have talent like that in their ranks, lol.
I've always loved the cut-scenes of the Oddworld-franchise. Humor, unique design and interesting lore, it's all there.
A couple of Mass Effect cut scenes are def up there as well, maybe even on the top.
