I'll be honest, when I first saw the reveal for the Halo multiplayer, I was underwhelmed. I hated the idea of jetpacks and armor abilities (because I wasn't a fan of them in Halo Reach and Halo 4) but I'm so glad that they adjusted them and gave everyone the same abilities. I've been a huge Halo fan since Halo CE (I still play it the most on the MCC) but my passion for Halo dwindled as Halo Reach and Halo 4 were released, but this beta has got me interested in the Halo franchise again. I really like the 60fps, and faster movement. I also love how the developers focused more on competitive 4v4 multiplayer this time around; it takes me back to the Halo 2 era. I really like how they made each gun feel useful, but not necessary; reminds me of Halo CE. Power weapons will give you an edge, but what you start with is more than capable of bringing you back in the game. Which I really enjoy.

Can't really blame the developers since they have very little say in what is included and removed from a game. Publishers/producers have more power than the developers.

It's difficult to tell the difference between 720p and 1080p on a TV at regular viewing distances. Unfortunately, people use the pixels to determine which console is better.

There aren't a lot of games for Kinect (now or the foreseeable future), but I see the peripheral as more of a convenience than a gaming device. It just makes navigating around the xbone easier, because the menu structure is pretty difficult to navigate through with just a controller.

I don't think the game is too weird, but I think the trailer doesn't really tell us enough to want to play it. It really doesn't tell you much, other than the game containing a creepy environment and the hint that it's most likely a first-person game. I don't see any type of gameplay or story; it's difficult to get excited for a game that you know very little about.

Some people really enjoy the cinematic experience, while others just want a fun game with no deep storyline. It's good to have variety rather than too much of either.

I don't know anyone that likes that level. The updated graphics make it a bit better than the original, but it's still a long and tedious mission.

I'm not in the video game industry, but I'm pretty sure that it's similar to the film industry. I've worked in the film industry for several years and I know that a lot of American studios outsource their projects to various countries and Canada is one of them. The main reason why the studios outsource to Canada is because they receive subsidies from their government. I know that the Canadian government supports the studios for offering jobs and helping to promote economic growth in the nation.

First tip I can give is: join a game-development-community forum; a forum where you can discuss and ask questions about programming and fixing issues with your code. Gamespot is just a gamer's forum.

Second tip: If you want to succeed as an indy developer, you need to create something original. Something that looks and plays differently than anything else in the market. Don't create a "copy-cat" title (i.e. another first-person military shooter or Tomb Raider-like adventure game) unless you have a completely new idea that will revolutionize the genre. Publishers (as well as the gaming community) will turn their heads away as soon as they see a "copy-cat" title.

I had a friend who was very ambitious about creating games, but when he described his games to me he would say "it's like Splinter Cell, but with a girl" or he would describe a gameplay mechanic that sounded a lot like "Temple Run"...and it was difficult for me to care as soon as he used other games as his description for his own game. Don't make it easy for someone to describe your game by simply saying another game's title.

This happened to me when playing Dead Rising 3. The problem was fixed when I did a complete shut down of the console (turning off the console via: controller or voice activation only sends it into stand-by mode) To do a full shut down, you have to hold the power button on the xbox itself until it shuts down. Then boot it back up. Hope this helps

To answer your other question; no, uninstalling a game doesn't cause you to lose any progress. Your progress and unlocks are linked to your account.
