That game looks really awesome! I'm not going to pledge though because it doesn't look like it's going to reach it's goal, and I don't know if they accept dollars because their prices are in euros.

I know i will.

They just started their campaign so there is stil a lot of time...anything is possible on kickstarter ;-) And you can pay in dollars and you will be shown approximate conversion rate to US dollars before you complete your pledge.

I would like to hear what other people think about this project, about visuals of the game, the unique gameplay they promised to make etc...It' s clear that i think it's something really different and great and I never played a game like this...and if other people dont get involved in funding this than I won't have the chance to confirm my toughts about this

Everything about this looks like perfection I hope it'll be scary, I love the setting, graphics everything! But I'll check up on it the last few days of the campaign and see how it's doing, if it's close to the goal I'll donate.

The only weird thing about that video is the game's aesthetics and style.... Is the gameplay equally weird ?

The Game I think was too weird is Cradle and Starseed Pilgrim.

If they do what they promise it will be

- Cohesive "lived in" world- Scorn takes place in open-ended world with different interconnected regions you can explore in a non - linear fashion. Each region is a maze-like structure with various set of rooms and paths to discover. Environment is a character in itself. Every location contains its own theme, puzzles and characters that are integral part of the setting. Open ended and interconnected level design and the sense of isolation that it brings is influenced by games like Metroid Prime, Dark Souls, Ico, etc

We want to create a broad gameplay experience that is more than simple blend of all the game mechanics. Players will need to explore and adapt to the world. Same principles apply to the inhabitants of the world. They will not be just a cannon fodder for the player but breathing living entities that you can interact with in various ways. Throughout the game players will constantly be required to re-think and adapt their actions.

Why do I get the feeling that Lulu is the only person in this thread not affiliated with this Kickstarter campaign?

I love wierd games. I'm tired of the same turds being wrapped in different papers each and every year.

This game doesn't seem to look that wierd though. Reminds me of Penumbra with a HR Giger inspired setting.

If a Kickstarter campaign fails to reach its goal, you don't get charged so there's no reason to not pledge just because you think it might not reach its goal. Pledges are automatically converted into the price based on your local currency when you back a campaign.

That said, this smells a lot like an ad thread.

Also scorn doesn't look 'weird.' It just looks like a horror game based on Ridley Scott's Alien mixed with Beksinski's art.

Ir really depends on the audience that you are marketing to. If you are trying to sell to mainstream buyers it could be too weird, but not everyone will hate it. I personally think that there is a market for every game, if you know where to sell it

I don't think the game is too weird, but I think the trailer doesn't really tell us enough to want to play it. It really doesn't tell you much, other than the game containing a creepy environment and the hint that it's most likely a first-person game. I don't see any type of gameplay or story; it's difficult to get excited for a game that you know very little about.
