@l0rdprophet: If you are buying a console purely for performance and you have enough money to buy a decent pc, then obviously you missed the point of a console. Just use it for the exclusive games that you cannot play on PC. If none of them interest you, then why are you wasting your time and money with one?
I call BS on this. PS4 Pro just released not even a year ago. Surely if Sony was going to release a next gen console, they would have held out for longer. I do not expect the next console to come anytime soon that is if there will be a PS5. If there is one and I had to make a guess, it would probably be late 2019 (less likely) but most probably 2020.
I think that Microsoft needs a few triple A games on their list. Something with the caliber of Sony's Horizon Zero Dawn ,God of War, TLOU or Uncharted. Sure, there are games that look interesting like Sea of Thieves for me personally but nothing yet seems to reach those levels yet. They have Halo, Forza, Gears but I still think they should add 1 or 2 new IPs. I hope they have something big up their sleeves.
A 10 for this game is amazing. Pity I will not be able to play it. Spending for the console and the game is too much even for a "masterpiece" like this. Now I kind of know how it feels being left out when these games just pass by.
I am really happy for Sony but I expect Microsoft to step their game up. I want them to both be pushing each other to the limit. Excited to see how the Scorpio turns out at E3 but also without exception , high quality AAA exclusives are a must for Microsoft.
Maybe gamespot has got the terminologies wrong for what is midrange. Usually high end would be a 1070 and to some extent 1080. Midrange would be 1060. Enthusiast level is 1080 Ti and Titan. They probably have their own categories for cards as these categories can be purely subjective based on ones earning potential and the experience one has with the techonology.
Had a choice between Watchdogs 2 and Dishonored 2. Having a blast with Dishonored 2 currently. I know that the games are different but the fact that it got the same score boggles my mind. After hearing all the negative comments, about Watchdogs 2, I can't determine what game really qualifies to be a 7 , 8 , 9 or 10. I am talking more from the perspective of a general consensus (judging by the comments) rather than personal taste because there seems to be a huge disparity between the quality of games within a specific score bracket . You could say some games that received an 8 totally could have got a 9 on another day.
Also, I am still considering getting WD2. Anyone who has played it can give me their thoughts of the game whether it is actually worthwhile getting.
@pasullica: If those games come to PC or X1, they do not have a competitive advantage and not many people would have the incentive to get a PS4. It would be a shot on the foot from a business point of view. Microsoft can do it because they are a software company that owns the Windows OS so integrating console to PC environment is a benefit for them.
@vampyren: It may or may not be a popular decision but I would like it if Microsoft and Sony sell a premium and a standard console. One for those who want high end top of the line product versus the one that is suitable for those with a lower budget like children. I think more people would be satisfied this way even though it could be slightly more work for game producers.
It might seem like they are doing it now but the PS4 pro is hardly an upgrade that will last and the Scorpio is so far apart from their standard console. When a new generation arrives, I would like to see a PS5 and a PS5 Pro released at the same time. Down the line, the Pro could have price reductions according to market rates.
