I'm getting pretty frustrated with the gaming community lately. What is there to complain about? It's a clear choice that you make that's been there for a long time now. If you want the game and all the extras that come out right when they come out, you pay extra. If you want everything for less, you have to wait for the GOTY, but you have to wait. It's a clear now-pay-more/later-pay-less balance that's been around forever now, and not just in video game economy. I don't understand what there is to get upset about.

Some of the features appeal to me. Thus your hypothesis is proven theory.

I get your point (that it's a stupid game without much in the way of royalties anyway). However, I just want to point out that the party being sued really has no choice but to fight. So, if I sued you right now and you were forced to defend yourself, would you consider yourself to be "fighting like [a baby]?"

I agree.

However, I just want to point out, for anyone who is interested, that in the fiction the AI themselves choose their avatar. There's an AI in the book series that chooses to represent himself as a plain cube. I'm aware that in reality the game designers chose Cortana's design, but in the fiction she chose to look like that of her own volition.

I don't see how the character design in any way trivializes anything in the story. I feel like this viewpoint is sexist, as it implies that somehow anything associated with a sexily-dressed female character is automatically not able to be taken seriously.

Also, comparing MGS to "Hurt Locker," "Black Hawk Down," or "Saving Private Ryan" shows a serious lack of understanding when it comes to the tone of MGS as a series, in my opinion. MGS has always been over-the-top in action, story, and character design. I don't see this character design as being out of place in the series.

I don't get it. I'm married. I have sex AND I still like seeing sexily dressed, attractive women. My wife likes to dress in sexy clothes and I like it when she does. I don't understand what's "disgusting" about a beautiful female body.

I agree. I thought the combat was actually the easiest in AC1 out of all of them, just because the later games added riflemen and enemy types you can't counter very easily.

AC has always been more about the cinematic feel, parkour, and assassination strategy than about the combat.

In my experience, that's the way it is with almost every game ever. Isn't that right?

We're talking about the game devs collecting aggregate data to let them look into gameplay issues. How you, personally, play your game can not, and will not, be used against you in a court of law. This is why people are saying you're paranoid.

If you take into account the very start of MGS and remakes/ports it has way more games out than Assassin's Creed. Series continue. That's what they do, because they're a series. It's strange how so many people act like this is somehow a bad thing...
