Great, so the Eye of Sauron wants both video AND audio now. No cameras or microphones, thanks. Hopefully they're not integrated into the PS4, or I won't buy it (yes, the case design can still be changed).

@immadbro @VarietyMage Activision OWNS the developers. They work for Blizzard, which is owned by Activision. Whatever Activision orders, Blizzard does, which makes Blizzard the problem. If Blizzard can't fight Activision to make a game instead of an economic simulator, then they shouldn't be making games at all. And they won't be, when me and many others refuse to give them any more money unless they bring back the real Diablo game (a la D2). Diablo should die a quiet death rather than live in this corrupted state (funny how Blizzard resembles Wirt from D2 right about now).

@immadbro @VarietyMage What would that change? Everything - scrapping the D3 code, firing Pardo and Wilson, and getting a new team would allow for Diablo to be made the way Diablo 2 was, with a gothic-horror game in mind and not a microtransaction-dependent economic simulation.

@immadbro It's irrelevant. The Diablo brand that been destroyed by the stupidity of their cloud game design, the poor game system, the downgrading of the game system from Diablo 2 standards, and the lack of respect shown to the gaming community by the Diablo development staff. It will take a new game made by a new staff with Diablo 2 in mind to redeem Blizzard, if they are redeemable at all. Personally, I doubt another Diablo will ever be released. Blizzard is greedy, and their eyes are currently set on MMOs (WOW2 and Titan, whatever that will end up being).

@jecomans @VarietyMage Hopefully Sony won't leave any backdoors, otherwise they'll let everyone else in. PlayStation OS's are one of the most thoroughly examined pieces of code in existence.

Is there a way to turn this feature off? Sounds like an exploit opportunity to me. If someone can dial into your PS4, they might be able to create a backdoor and grab stuff (PlayStations aren't just for games anymore).

@PutU2REM @VarietyMage @Mogzsnet And you're both missing the point. You can have a lot more fun with Minecraft than D3, and for cheaper, and without having to buy an expansion in order to access the updates. The fun is the operable word, something that D3 terribly lacks.

@96augment @VarietyMage I don't feel like watching characters dying off like flies. No emotional investment. It would be akin to watching a true Mortal Kombat tournament, let's see who's still alive at the end. Not my cup of tea.
