@PlatinumPaladin @UKFX Ahh yes, because one person buying a cable for 99p is the same as a company supplying millions of cables, of which one is already provided with the console. Oh no.

Calm down folks, you'll get a USB cable for your controller with the PS4 and on top of that, a USB charge cable costs like £0.99p, which is like $1.50 USD.

60fps is the best. Reasoning = best performance vs processing. 30 seems too slow. To me. 30 looks jumpy as hell and can be felt via input on both console and PC. 60 to me, whether on console or PC feels fluid, looks fluid and allows for perfectly good input response. 120fps is unnecessary heat, processing power and well... I don't really care about screen tearing but I always use Vsync anyway because I can't really see that much of a difference between 60 and 120 (if any at all), so I don't really feel there is much point in what I'd consider my video card rendering an additional 60 pointless frames.

As I've stated in my other post. If 30 is what is being aimed for now in the console world, before the hardware is even released, then that 17fps is what many of you are going to get several years down the line when they persistently push the hardware well beyond it's limit. Skyrim on PS3, I'm 100% certain I got way less than 17fps and was one of the main reasons I decided to stop using consoles and PCs alongside one n other and sell my PS3 whilst it still had some value.

Thank you "next-gen" I won't need to upgrade my video card for quite some time, and ports should be better.

Joy of joys.

I've always thought this and I've always stuck to it - 60fps for a new gen, is essential. The reason for this is as follows: If you're targetting 30fps for a new console generation, you're letting the quality of the game drop already. This just means that further down the line, games which run at a constant, stable 30fps are less and less likely. I still don't understand why consoles don't play to their own strengths and hardware capabilities. It's like little kiddies going "awww I can't play that game, the graphics suck". To me, gameplay comes first, then FPS, then graphics.

Now to the Xbox 360 and PS3. I specifically remember playing games like Skyrim and BF3 and feeling like I was playing a slideshow instead of a game because the FPS was supposed to be 30. It wasn't consistent, it was a target and if it reached that a few times during crap, non-real world testing then they'd go "ahh that'll do" and ship it.

I complained endlessly about Skyrim. Running through the wilderness on Skyrim on my PS3 and I kid you not, it must have been running borderline single figure frames. Completely unplayable. As you can imagine, a game I pre-ordered and spent 6 months trying to enjoy, resulted in nothing but frustration and disbelief, so in the end I only played a few hours worth of it and sold them - console included. BF3 was better but the FPS was still horrid and when the shit hit the fan the FPS was beyond unplayable. In both instances (including other games that pushed the console too hard) the experience was disappointing.

Targetting 30fps this early on is a premature nail in the coffin for the quality of console games for this generation and the future to come. Wait 3-4 years down the line and people are going to be wishing they hadn't spent the money on them.

Generic? The shooty part, perhaps, but it's a bit harsh considering it's gone well beyond many other shooters in terms of graphics, destrutability (real word) and of course the multiplayer maps not being the size of a shoe box - if you know to which series I am referring.

I'd love it Gamespot could make a video about why some people love Skyrim and why some people like me (who literally spent like 800-1000 hours on Oblivion GOTY) who cannot get into Skyrim.

I don't see the fun. Everything is open and streamlined, which may well be a pro to people but the massively long starting quest to get the first shout drains my enthusiasm and will to play the game. If I do manage to continue, I'm massively bored by the insane level of fetch quests.

Is there any actual useful mods where I can just spawn after the first Shout quest? Note: I hate that extender mod thing which some mods require. It is evil.

I don't watch Feedbackula that much, but I've always wondered, why is it called Feedbackula, then it features a Mexican Skeleton? :|

I also have none of the games mentioned here but... bribes are real. Who bribed who?

Side note: Bring back that show... errr, I forgot the name again, it had Jane on it more, an sometimes Seb or Johnny. It had cartoons fighting and buildings and... a big red button. :\

LOL Hilarious recommendation for CPU then the OTT GPU recommendation of a GTX 780? What the HELL?

That's just poor optimisation in a nutshell, when the game looks like THAT. I'm playing BF4 beta on 1080p at High/Ultra (mix of the two) at 60fps on a 7870 and that looks really great. I don't see how this is going to be better.

Lol @ 780

Too expensive, or not overly powerful, depending on how much cash you have. Sadly it'll be a reasonable success due to the wave of Steam fan-boys.

Valve > Apple.

Oh an that HDD space...
