I can't wait! They never opt for the "safe" game card. Hope it's a new IP that can play to their strengths of visual storytelling.

It's interesting to note that Bungie had really peaked early in terms of innovation. The "Marathon" series multiplayer modes were the real genesis to the Halo games to the point that even 343 hasn't tampered with the set template. They have learned to churn out games by simply improving the quality of the game but haven't shown any new evolution in terms of gameplay. I'm interested in seeing how DESTINY intends to address that. If it plays like another Halo with cosmetic changes, then its really unfortunate. If it aspires to do something unique leaving the halo legacy behind, then count me in.

This is a disaster unveiling. I don't know what the heck is going on at the Microsoft camp but everything they've announced so far is completely counterproductive. No XBLA, no backwards compatibility, still need a cable box to watch TV, Xbox will only work if Kinect is attached... Is there a point to this new console??

Yeah...this is appalling stuff from Microsoft. So their approach to a "new" console is to completely replace/ignore set features that made its predecessor successful. They are hell bent on calling it the one console that does everything. So far its doing everything wrong...

A CGI Batman feature through DC Animation would do amazing. Alas, the cost to make one would be its biggest obstacle. I'm quite excited to see the gameplay reveal in the coming months. Have a good feeling it will resemble Arkham City with improved visuals and gameplay.

@ElFlechero @Tychobrahi Yup. If it's a magnified scope of other survivors like Ellie and Joel, where you are working with them against the infected through a "Spartan Ops" like episodic content THAT would be freaking awesome.

@ElFlechero @Tychobrahi Yea that's about all there's left to do. If it does great, that's good but I remember reading the same kind of excitement induced by Crystal Dynamics for Tomb Raider and look how that turned out. Albeit it was a different company working on MP.

The exceeding amount of MP content shoved into SP experiences is a model that hasn't fared well. Tomb Raider, Spec Ops, Far Cry 3 are all prime examples where the resources used to make MP could have easily been utilized to further the quality of the SP. Games like Dishonored, Metro LL are really there to cement the idea that you can still have a compelling experience without a PVP interaction.

Like most people I see Last Of Us as a single player experience, a game where I can immerse in the interaction of a player/AI reflecting on the isolation of the environment. I don't see the point of survival games attracting more characters on screen in the attempts of making something "FUN" because the GDD outlines it, or worse, a false pretense to justify the $60 price tag for a fuller experience.
