I really have to disagree with the guys that keeps saying he wanted Ellie to die in the end. When i got to the last scene and walked into the operating room, the only thought going through my head was who do i have to kill to save her. (I head shot the first two doctors, and was about to walk away from the last one cowered in the corner and then she said something - think she calls Joel an animal - and it was a little to far for me). Weird thing is, it was only a couple days after i'd finished the game that i realized, i would probably have described my self as someone who thinks the ends justify the means, but when it came down to it, i didn't even want to think of the other option.

I'm not thrilled about this, i had PS plus for a year but the "free" (i'ts not free since I've actually given them money) games were fairly poor, and i almost never used the discounts. my biggest problem with it was that i couldn't play the ps plus games after the subscription finished. So the service is going to have to improve if its going to be mandatory. it's also not a good deal for more casual gamers who may only play one or two games every once in a while.

Thank you Mikey Neumann, for addressing the real issue with the 'think of the children' part of this issue.

The only people blaming games for how people act (specially coming from people who only a few generations ago were either blaming or defending rock music for how people acted - you think they would learn from the lessons within their own lifetime), are the same people who don't use the medium them-self. The reason the media doesn't go after violence in movies at all, instead blaming video games first is because most of them would watch movies enough to understand how stupid that claim is.

If you get devs working in those conditions its because they care about the work they do and about the product, so its no surprise the game is going to have some quality work.

Hopefully EA don't look at this and decide to force the same conditions on their devs... but i wouldn't put it past them.

I also wonder how much of the money from sales, the people who worked in these conditions are going to see.

On the one hand it's good they're making it more realistic, on the other hand most types of real hacking is boring.

Why is it so hard for politicians to not automatically scapegoat video games as soon as the topic of gun violence comes up...
...
...

Oh. right all the money the NRA is bribing them with...

the SandyHook Elementary School shooting will definitely not have happened if the shooter DIDN'T HAVE ACCESS TO GUNS.

These politicians will say absolutely anything to direct the attention away from the most obvious answer to why so much gun violence exists in the US. Maybe it has something to do with the ridiculously easy access to assault rifles and other firearms that's to blame for shooting. Its disgusting to see people scapegoat absolutely anything to protect their precious guns.

wow, way to miss the point that people were trying to make when they said we didn't want on-disk DLC. If it was finished before the game was released, it shouldn't be dlc and we shouldn't have to pay extra for it. If you're going to sell half a game on day one, why should we have to pay full price?

Too bad, I was looking forward to checking out Dragons Dogma, now capcom's on my don't buy from list. Good thing too, EA was getting lonely on there.
