@jZangetsu21

That all depends on what you think are kids. To me anyone under the age of 18 is a kid and in fact I consider most 20 year olds as kids as well, but that's irrelevant here. The avatar series was and is intended for kids, not 10 year olds, but 16 year olds. That is a fact. Also, when you spend time and money on games you're going to want to appeal to the majority of gamers out there which are... surprise surprise... children. True there are 30 year old gamers out there or even older like myself, but we don't want to play an avatar game even if we are paid to do it. (ok well maybe then I would) but you get the point.

Probably buy both. I have two PS3's and one XBOX 360 at the moment. "When" I'll buy them all depends on the specific games being released, so I'm holding off until I can actually play something I like on them.

@jd7904 On my Samsung TV this is called Motion Plus. It also has LED Motion plus. It is not the same as creating a game with 60FPs because the TV option creates the frames itself. Although it will probably look similar. For all my 360/PS3 games I turn this feature on because it makes it look slightly better. For movies I loathe these options including the 48fps Hobbit film. It's like looking at a film shot by a handycam. It's "too real" and therefore looks fake, because a film IS fake.

So yea for games the 60fps option is preferable to 30fps.

I've seen a couple of different reviews, but what no one can deny is that Beyond: Two Sould lacks something that all other games have: the ability for the player to determine what is going on. All action sequences are predetermined and all you do is hit a button to "finish" the move. I can seriously understand very well why people would shun a game like this. Particularly those that enjoy player freedom or an engaging combat system. BTS has none of that, nor does it try to be a game like that.

BTS , may have a strong story, but I found the demo to be confusing and lacking in gameplay mechanics. Confusing probably because I was constantly expecting that I could decide what to do, which I couldn't. The oddest part was that I could play the demo without pressing any buttons sometimes resulting in me getting hit and hurt most of the time, but still being able to continue. It almost felt like it didn't really matter whether I pressed a button or not.

I do like Ellen Page a lot, and I do think I will "play" the game. But it's more like you're taking part in a movie and the worst thing about it is it is implemented in a way that is neither engaging nor satisfying. So let's be honest, the game is not for everyone. with BTS you're along for the ride, and depending on whether you want to watch a movie and sometimes press a few buttons or whether you want to play a game will ultimately determine if the game is for you.

@PETERAKO Underwhelmed based on what? The launch titles? Those are always underwhelming. The best games come out after the system has been around for a while. You can't make a decision based on what you know now. That's ridiculous.

None of the launch titles, even including Watch dogs, are even remotely interesting to me. Most of them are either sports games (yawn) or shooters or some other boring game. Nope, I'll wait till the real games come out to buy any of these systems.

The ending of DA2 was far more interesting than the ending of DA1. I'm hoping this third installment makes up for the lack of content in the second one. Although I don't think I can handle any more dumbing down of game play.

@b0sse I have to be honest. The combat put me off, but I liked the atmosphere a lot and it's the least lineair of all FF games. It's also the most mature of all FF games and doesn't quite focus so much on emo aspects. It's also one of the few FF games that doesn't have random encounters and I'm seriously tired of random encounters. The only games I'd ever replay with random encounters is the Shadow Hearst series. But only because it's a multiple factor of awesomeness.

And the FF game with the worst battle system is still FFXIII.

So is this in any way linked to the other two games? I mean this does look pretty good, but I fell asleep playing BS1. That and the graphics on the consoles were terrible so if I do get it it will be on PC.
