The game is nothing like it was advertised and the majority of people that were tricked into buying it can accept that it is a mediocre game and nothing special.

Also, as I have said, it being the best selling game means nothing. GTA V sold more than this game did and neither game is any good. Ocarina of Time, Mario 64, Mount and Blade Warband, etc. are classics.

Destiny is obviously a failure but it doesn't mean that the game industry is.

As if having the highest selling game automatically means that it is the best game in all of existence. That's like saying Call Of Duty, Grand Theft Auto or some other mainstream crap is the best game of all time which is ridiculous.

You are basing the entire gaming industry off of one stupid game.

One game that is horrible and not even worth the $60 that it was sold for.

For the love of all that is good, accept that the game sucks. It's repetitive, boring and has horrible Ai. The multiplayer gets stale very quickly and the backtracking is everywhere. The music is great but it has nothing to accompany it as you get tired of the shiny layer of graphics while it has no story whatsoever. The game is crap.

For the amount of time and development time that went into making this game, I'm surprised that the reviewer wasn't harder on it.

It's like Halo but Halo actually had much more creativity even if it was much shorter.

Not to mention that Halo is actually fun in multiplayer which Destiny isn't.

Japan hates God though which is obvious from their history and culture (not to mention on how more than half of all JRPGs always leave the final boss as a deity). -_-

Whenever a journalist starts to include his own biased opinion on parts that are unnecessary like in this review, he's not being professional.

The entire second paragraph is completely unnecessary and doesn't add anything to the review other than clearly displaying his biased opinion on the game.

If something offends you in a game, then get over it.

Something that offends you will not necessarily offend others.

I'm not a fan of the game nor do I care to be as it isn't my type of game but reviews like this make me cringe when I see them.

Hardcore Gamer Magazine gave it a 6/10 and Game informer gave it a 5/10 according to Metacritic.

I feel that the 2/10 is unjustified that this reviewer gave it.

Looks really nice.

I only hope that they won't screw this up like Total War Rome 2.

After all, Creative Assembly is the one making this game.

I'm quite a fan of visual novels so I'm going to share my thoughts about this quickly.

#1:

Visual novels are NOT popular.

The majority of visual novels are usually excluded by the majority of the gaming community all around the world and it is rare for a visual novel to sell well even if it is one of the best ones in the genre. Only a few are commonly known across the internet (Type Moon visual novels, Clannad, Cross Channel, Katawa Shoujo, etc.) and there are even fewer known of hybrid ones like the fighting game/visual novel games like Melty Blood.

#2:

Visual novels are commonly regarded as excellent or bad in which the majority of the community usually agrees unlike normal video games with the exception being ones specifically for guys or girls in dating ones as they usually have different themes (and even then, the guys that read them still like them).
I have no idea what these people were thinking but visual novels tend to be a hit or a miss whether they are free or not. No one is going to waste their time with a story that doesn't interest them or characters that don't feel alive to the reader. It doesn't matter on how you try to sugar coat it, the point of a visual novel is to give a good story and if it doesn't give that then it isn't worth reading. It's as simple as that.

#3:

This is just another excuse of a developer of a game that she blames it all on sexism that she didn't succeed and is now acting like a complete child that things didn't go like she wanted them to. There are quite a few female developers that are excellent in their games and in the visual novel genre so this is no excuse for failure.

If she is getting backlash from people, it is most likely from the comments that she wrote or said.
